You are doing what Peter said of some in his day - wresting the Scriptures to your own destruction. You may think you are being 'smart' now, using your mockery and insolent tongue against the things of God. You may think you are 'smart' now, but when you depart this life, you will find out that you were being foolish.
Be not deceived, God is not mocked, what you sow, you will reap.
You are using a blasphemous tongue in your ignorance of God's word. He will punish you if you do not repent.
Now, I do not deny that many of the present day 'pentecostals' themselves do NOT understand these things; in fact most of them do not. They themselves have been given a fake spirit; because their heart was not right in the sigh of God.
But you need to quit looking at them and look at the Book of Acts; look at Peter, Paul and the other apostles. Look at what they told us.
I know many of the pentecostles today do just what you said. But I can tell you, here is one who did not get it that way. Here is one who sought God diligently outside Church, and sought for the power of God; not to speak in tongues. I did not want to speak in tongues; did not believe in it, as you do not now. The first and only time I went to that altar, He called me very strongly, He filled me as soon as I got there. In two minutes or less, I did not know what was happening; nor was I in any control. Praise His Holy Name.
I wanted God. I asked Him to fill me with His power and glory. I asked Him to keep them from messing with me as I had them seen them do others in their entheusiasm. He answered me. Not one soul messed with me; God did not let them. He gave me the H.G. exacly as in Acts. I PREACHED in tongues; not faking; not having any control over it; not really knowing what I was doing; for indeed it was not me doing it; but God.
It is not as you are saying; not if it is real. I did not move my lips or tongue or muscles or know what was being said. He did it. It is the most thrilling, glorious thing which can happen to one. Did what you received be to you JOY UNSPEAKABLE AND FULL OF GLORY?
If not, keep seeking till you find; else you will find yourself in Hell someday.
