(part 2) Now all of the above must be placed together in order to understand what that sealed book was. It was JESUS. God’s tongues is the PEN which does this writing. Each one of us is a ‘book?which is being ‘written?every day. Our every thought and word and act is written in our ‘book? At the judgment all those ‘books?will be opened and we be judged by the things written in our ‘book?or life. See that God said he would ‘write?his laws into their hearts. So his laws were written in the ?U>book?which was Jesus. Every day the things Jesus said, did and thought were ‘written?in his Book. So at the end of his life he could say, In the volume of the book it is written of me. So he did God’s will always and this is what was written in his book or life. He came to do God’s will and not his own will. He came to take away that first, or law covenant and bring in the New Covenant of Grace. That was his whole purpose. He was our only hope of salvation. If he had failed there would have been no salvation for anyone. (And that is why I sit here tonight writing of His glory instead of sleeping.) So then until his life was completed, and he was in Heaven seated upon the throne of God, no salvation was opened for anyone. I wrote a wonderful message called, The Two Edged Sword. In that message it was explained how God wrote on the stones for Moses. Then he had to go back up a second time with stones he had hewn out himself. Then God wrote on them again. This showed two things. Adam was the first Son of God. He was glorified at first, then lost this because of his sin. God then clothed him in human flesh and he lost his glory. He was ‘written?on the front side and then the inside. He had glory first then darkness. The front side shows that law. The backside shows Grace. Jesus was written on the inside and then the backside. He was human first, then glorified. He was not written on the front side for this is law. So Jesus is this book which was written within and on the backside. But this book was sealed up. Unless it was opened up there would be no salvation for us. Only Jesus could open those seals. He had to go the whole way alone. No one else could help him. He had to be willing to please only God in his life and he had to die for our sins. If he had not gone all the way those seals would not have been opened and we would all be lost. Remember it was said in the OT that one took the book to one who was learned and asked him to read the book. He said I cannot read it for it is sealed. Then they took the book to someone who was not learned and asked them to read the book. He said I cannot for I am unlearned. See, no one could open that book and read it except Jesus, the slain Lamb of God. See then that it took his DEATH to qualify him to open the book. It could not be opened until it was finished and completely satisfactory to God. Re 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. Re 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. Notice the angel said the Lion of Juda hath prevailed to open the book and to loose the seals. But when John looked it was a Lamb he saw, a slain Lamb. Now why is this? Because He had to be killed for our sins before he was worthy to open those seals. It had to be completed. It had to be finished. He could not have opened the Book until it was finished, else how could it be proven that He had paid the price for our sins and therefore been counted worthy to set upon the throne of God as Our God? But see after this happened and he ascended to Heaven, then he is now the Lion and not the Lamb. But he had to be the Lamb FIRST. Re 5:7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. Re 10:9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. 10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. Jer 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. Eze 3:2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll. Eze 3:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness. Eze 3:4 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them. Both Jer. and Eze. were types of Jesus eating the Book. They showed that Jesus is the one who took the book and ate it. Then they spoke the Word to the people. It was sweet as honey in His mouth, but at Calvary it made his belly bitter. Jesus is the one who took that open book and ate it up. He was doing this all the days of his life. He was eating the Word of God as God put his words in Jesus?mouth. Now there is where Jesus took over the rulership of this world. When He took that book out of God’s hand, it shows that now all the power in heaven and earth has been passed into Jesus?hands. He is now ready to begin ruling and reigning until he brings all enemies under his feet. (Those of you who think that one already sitting on the throne was Jesus, then please explain to me who went and took the book out of his hand?) Watch what happens next: Re 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. Re 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; Re 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Notice the elders and the four beasts began a new song. This is worship to the ‘new?King, the High Priest, and our God, Jesus Christ. He is now Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He is now our Heavenly Father. He is now our God. He has prevailed to open the Book and to be seated upon the throne of His Father, God. GLORY! Notice that all those saved people proclaimed that now we shall reign on the EARTH. But see that Jesus is reigning in Heaven. Re 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Re 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. (Notice he was slain BEFORE he received this power, riches (he was poor in life), and wisdom, strength and glory.) Re 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. Re 5:14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever. You must learn to rightly divide the Word to see any truth. Now go back to chapter four and look at this: Re 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Re 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Now most people think this is saying they were worshipping Jesus and this means that Jesus was the one who created all things. But see, Jesus had NOT been set up on the throne at that time. So they were still worshipping God the Father. So this concludes the Ceremony in Heaven as the Lamb of God goes up to God sitting on His throne and takes the Book, the finished Book of Jesus?life, out of the hand’s of God and is given the power now to rule and reign as God with God. Heb 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? Heb 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. Heb 1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Heb 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Now see that is the words God said at the time Jesus walked up and took the Book out of his hands. When God brought the firstbegotten into the world, was at the resurrection. Angels were not told to worship Jesus while he lived on earth in mortal flesh. He told all the angels of God to worship Jesus. He called Jesus God and himself God to Jesus. See also that it says here that God anointed Jesus, which agrees with Acts 10, where Peter said that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power. This is where the power was completely placed into Jesus?hands to rule as God. Heb 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? See that God never at any time set an angel at his right hand to rule until all his enemies are made his footstool. Now this concludes the setting up of Jesus to rule as God. This concludes the message of the first Thunder. It began at the baptism of Jesus by John, for this was where he started his ministry as God’s Son. It goes all the way through Jesus?life and on until he is resurrected and caught up into Heaven. It finishes when Jesus has taken the Book of power or his life out of God’s hands and this placed all the power of heaven and earth into Jesus?hands. I believe this began God’s Seventh Day. I believe this is when God rested, for now He had placed the power into the hands of His Son to rule. It began the Day of the Lord, or judgment upon the OT. He brought their judgment then and shut them off. But it was the beginning of the Week for the Church. It was their First Day. It was the last or seventh day for the OT. But it was the First Day of the NT. Jesus said I am the beginning and the ending. He ended their age and started the NT age. If you try to read the Word of God, any of it, and think that it is set down in an exact chronological order you will miss the truth. It is not set down in a chronological order of events. Many places it will speak of one subject matter and take that subject down through time till the end of it. Then it will switch right back to the beginning of the time and pick up on another subject and take it down through time. It will speak of the birth of a son and switch immediately to the end of that person’s life and then go right back to the time of the birth of that person. For instance, in Rev. 1:7, he switches in the middle of conversation to the coming of Jesus with clouds and then picks back up with what he was saying. Now if you see this as ‘chronological?you will have to place the coming in the clouds right here. This is the kind of reasoning men have handled the Word of God with. Lu 3:18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people. Lu 3:19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, Lu 3:20 Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison. Lu 3:21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, Lu 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. Lu 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, Now I wrote the above to show you an example of this thing. See that in verse 19 it moved down and told something of John being put into prison. Then it switched right back to the baptism of Jesus, but you know that John was not shut up in prison at that time. Notice here that it makes it clear that it was the Holy Ghost which came down upon Jesus in a bodily shape like a dove. This proves that Jesus did not have the Holy Ghost until this time and that he was about thirty years old at this time. This alone proves that Jesus was not God. This is why nothing is told of Jesus?life until he was baptized, except of his birth, the time he was twelve, (showing that even as a child Jesus was living for God) and it tells that he went and was subject or obedient to his parents, as the Word commands. So Jesus?life in the natural, before his ministry started at his baptism, is not told about, for it was not his work as the Son of God. It was his natural life. Jesus did no miracles or taught the people before he was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power at his baptism. When God himself speaks it is said to thunder. God gives his word to angels, then the angels carry it to messengers on earth to proclaim the Word spoken by God. Most of the time when it speaks of the thunder it also brings in the lightning and voices. Many times it also includes the earthquakes. These are not natural events on earth. They are spiritual and must be understood spiritually. If you try to place these things as natural, weather evens, you will miss the entire meaning. You must find these things in the Scripture. Now to show you this: Ex 19:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. Ex 19:17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. 19:18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. 19:19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. This is the usual order the things of God are given out. The thunder is God speaking. The trumpet is that word being picked up by the earthly messengers and going forth. The lightning is the understanding or light which comes from the Word. God announces all the major events himself. These are the seven thunders in Revelation. Ex 20:22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. God talked with the people from heaven. When Jesus was baptized the heaven opened up and that voice spoke from heaven. It is the very same voice of God. This voice always brings enlightenment or the lightnings. Then the voices who receive the message speaks it on earth. When it is a fearful event it is said to bring earthquakes. This is the people trembling in fear, as those Israelites did there at Mt. Sinai. John 12:28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. 12:29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. 12:30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. See here the voice of God spoke to Jesus from heaven again. The people which heard it said that it thundered. Ps 77:16 The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled. 77:17 The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad. Ps 77:18 The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook The waters are the people. They saw God and were afraid. The clouds are the people. This was the disciples who had the river of life flowing out of them. Arrows are the words which bring judgment and punishment. When God sent out his word in the heaven, it lightened the world or gave them light. (understanding). Ps 81:7 Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. You need to read all of Psm. 18. It tells of the death of Jesus and his stay in hell, his deliverance, then how he goes on to destroy all his enemies and bring everything under subjection to him. (All of this is that first thunder in Rev.) Ps 18:4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. Ps 18:5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me. 18:6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. 18:7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. 18:8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. The above is telling of how God heard Jesus?cry unto him out of hell and became angry at how his Son had to die. The earth shaking and this is the earthquakes and storms which occurred at the death and resurrection of Jesus. Ps 18:13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire. 18:14 Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them. 18:15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils. 18:16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. Ps 18:17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. See that the hail stones and coals of fire was this voice of God. The foundations of the world was the removing of that old covenant to set up the new covenant. Verse 16 is the resurrection and God taking a people out of the world to be his. he delivered Jesus from death and hell. Ps 18:19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. Ps 18:20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. That is speaking of when God set Jesus up on high and rewarded him for his obedience to God. This was when God set Jesus up to rule with God and gave him all power in Heaven and earth. Ps 18:42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets. Ps 18:43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me. Ps 18:44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me These verses prove that this is about Jesus and not David, as most people think. It speaks of the judgment ministry of destroying the wicked off this earth. You will see that fulfilled in those seals and trumpets. It also speaks of those of us who hear him and submit to him. HE is the head of the heathen, not David. This people who had not known him and now serves him is the Gentiles who became Christians. Ps 29:3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. Job 37:2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth. 37:3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth. Job 37:4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard. Job 37:5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. Job 37:6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength. Job 37:7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work. Now all of this proves that God is speaking in the ‘thunder? He sends out his word and brings forth everything. After he thunders a voice roars. This is the men who receive His message and give it out in the earth to others. All of the happenings in Revelation and indeed the entire word and world come about by the thundering of God. He commands a thing to be. Then the angels pick it up and take it to Jesus who in turn gives it to his ministers. This is called the lightening. It enlightens the earth by revealing the truth of God. The true ministers receive these messages and preach it to others. If it is a word for judgment then the people fear and the ‘earthquakes?happen. Those events out in nature are only a natural showing. The true thing happens in the spiritual world. It is spiritual. Only those who are spiritual will ever discern this and know it. The others will always be looking at natural events and trying to interpret the Word from these things. But they will never find the truth this way. So in this message I have given you the first thunder and that open door. I will attempt to get into some of the other thunders as God reveals it to me. AMEN! |
