~~ The Seal of God ~~ Revelation 14: 1. And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. Revelation 7:1. And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3. Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Now here we are told that the four angels to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, were told to wait until the angel with the seal of the living God had sealed the servants of God in their foreheads. In chapter 14 it says these 144,000 have his Father’s name written in their foreheads. So this clearly ties this together as being the seal. Ezekiel 9 1. He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. 2. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. 3. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; 4. And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. 5. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: 6. Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. 7. And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city. 8. And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord God! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem? 9. Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord seeth not. 10. And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head. 11. And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me. This is a lot of Scripture for a message; but I do not see any other way of making this clear. Now here in Eze. 9 it says that six men come forth with a slaughter weapon in their hand and are told to go slay everyone who does not have the mark. One man among them is clothed in linen (glorification; this is Jesus)-- He had a ‘writer’s?inkhorn by his side. The LORD told him to go set a mark upon the FOREHEADS of the men that sigh and cry for all the abominations done in the city. Now see that this mark, and the seal, and the name of the Father are all being placed on the FOREHEADS of the true servants of God. So they must be all the same thing = the seal of God. That is what the angel was doing before the destruction. . Setting this seal on the true servants of God. This is done before the destruction, which is coming to the wicked. Notice that the angels were told to wait until after the sealing and the ones with the slaughter weapon were told to wait until after the mark was written on the true servants. Notice that in Rev. 14 it is said that the name was WRITTEN on their foreheads. In Eze. 9:4 the one with the writer’s inkhorn is told to set a mark upon their foreheads. So this setting, writing, and sealing are all the same thing. So the name of the Father is this seal or mark. Psalms 45:1. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. 2. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. (This grace in his lips shows this is Jesus) 3. Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty. His sword upon his thigh shows that he ready to bring destruction to the wicked, after he seals his servants with his grace.) 4. And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. 5. Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee. 6. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. Now read verse one-- he said his heart is inditing a good matter... this good matter is salvation; N.T. style. He said, “My TONGUE is the PEN of a ready WRITER.?/U> So this ‘tongue?of this king, is the ‘pen?which is used to ‘write?the name of the Father into these servants foreheads. That is what he is writing. That is what the ‘good?is he was inditing, the ?U>sealing?of the servants of God in their foreheads. This ‘tongue?is that inkhorn by the side of the one clothed in linen in Eze. 9. So all of these are Jesus. So what ‘tongue?is he speaking of? Remember Scripture must interpret Scripture. Isa. 28: 11. For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. Now there is the ‘tongue?which he said is the pen of a ready writer, this speaking in tongues which is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, the rest to the true servants of God. Notice that in Rev. 7 destruction came upon the enemies of God AFTER the Servants of God were sealed. In Eze. 9 destruction came upon the enemies of God AFTER those servants were sealed. In Psm. 45 the king’s sharp arrows hit his enemies after his pen wrote on his servants. Now look at the rest of Isa. 28: 14. Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. 15. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: 16. Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. 17. Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. 18. And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. 19. From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report. 20. For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it. Verse 14...He speaks to the scornful men who rule the people (what are they scornful about? That stammering lips and another tongue)---and they say they have made a covenant with death and hell (Satan; lies).... And that they will not be hurt. But in verse 18 he tells them the overflowing scourge will tread them down. So see that destruction is pronounced in all these Scriptures to come upon the wicked after the righteous are sealed in the forehead. 11Cor. 1:21. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22. Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Now this establishes that it is Christ who has sealed us. So Christ is this one clothed in linen, the one with the inkhorn, the one with the pen of the ready writer, the one with the new tongue, which is this seal. Eph. 1:13. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Now here is solid proof that the seal is the Holy Spirit. Eph. 4:30. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Here is another proof that the Holy Spirit is our seal. We know that the Word said that Jesus is the one who Baptizes with the Holy Ghost, so it is proof that Jesus is the one who gives us this seal. It is proof that Jesus is the one who writes his Father’s name on our forehead. This is the Holy Ghost seal. So this ties his name with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. This is possible only by being baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ; for then you have the promise of receiving the Holy Ghost. All of this together makes up this seal. This is our only protection against this destruction, which is determined to come, upon all who do not have this seal. Rev. 9: 4. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. Now see that this group of God’s witnesses is told to only hurt those men, which have NOT the seal of God in their foreheads. This is the same thing told to those men with the slaughter weapons in Eze. 9. They are told to hurt only those who have not the mark of the writer’s inkhorn. So the mark, the seal, the name of the Father, the stammering lips and another TONGUE are all the very same thing. So this positively ties together the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with this seal which saves us from destruction. All who do not have it are doomed to destruction. So the mark of God is having the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. They are this seal. It takes both baptisms to make up the one baptism, which is the seal, or the mark, or having the Father’s name written in our foreheads. See that it said his name was WRITTEN on us. So that is the mark. The writer’s inkhorn is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Jesus had the pen, the inkhorn, the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. He is the only one who can give that to us. Now what is the forehead? Rev. 17: 3. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5. And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Now see that this whorish woman, the Babylon Church which is guilty of slaying all the saints, has a name written on her FOREHEAD. This name is identifying her as the Whore, the mother of harlots. Rev. 13: 16. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17. And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. So here the beast has deceived the whole world except those saints who had received the Mark of God, the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, into taking his mark in their foreheads or their hand. Rev. 14: 9. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10. The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. This shows the same thing all those other Scriptures showed that all without the mark of God will receive destruction; torment. See that is said all those who have the mark of the beast in their forehead or hand will be tormented forever and ever. Notice also that it said the mark of his NAME. So here is proof that on both sides, Satan and God, the mark is also the name. So to have their mark on your forehead or in your heart is the same thing as having their name, which is their Spirit. Jer. 3: 3. Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed. So this shows that those who rebelled against God have a whore’s forehead. This is those with the name of Babylon written on their forehead. This is the mark of the Beast. So the forehead is what is in the heart, mind of a person. It is his spiritual identification. Everyone has either the mark of God written on their heart (forehead), or they have the mark of the beast written on their heart (forehead). Since it is the name of the Father on the saints, it would be the name of Satan on the hearts of the rebellious. Having their ‘name?shows marriage: you are either ‘married?to Jesus, or you are ‘married?to Satan. In this way you take their name on yourself. By: Jo Smith 8/27/2003 |
