The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth. Exo. 34:6

Walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. Eph. 4:1, 2

Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Eph. 4:32

The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. James 3:17

Charity suffereth long, and is kind. I Cor. 13:4

In due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal. 6:9

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. James 5:7, 8

EVENING

Emmanuel, . . . God with us. Matt. 1:23

Will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee. II Chron. 6:18

The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh. I Tim. 3:16

God hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. Heb. 1:2

The first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled . . . came Jesus and stood in the midst. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. After eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Then saith [Jesus] to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. Thomas ... said.... My Lord and my God. John 20:19, 20, 26-28

Unto us a Son is given: . . . the mighty God. Isa. 9:6

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. I John 3:7
Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. James 3:11-13
Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. I Pet. 2:12
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by his fruit. Matt. 12:33
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. Matt. 12:35
What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Isa. 5:4

Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Isa. 66:1
Will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth! Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built! II Chron. 6:18
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; and I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts. Hag. 2:6, 7, 9
I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Rev. 21:1, 3

MORNING

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Rev. 3:19

My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Heb. 12:5, 6

Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Prov. 3:12

He maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole. Job 5:18

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. I Pet. 5:6

I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. Isa. 48:10

He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. Lam. 3:33

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. Psa. 103:10-14

EVENING

God is in heaven, and thou upon earth therefore let thy words be few. Ecc. 5:2

When ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask him. Matt. 6:7, 8

They ... called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. I Kings 18:26

Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. Luke 18:10, 11, 13, 14

Lord, teach us to pray. Luke 11:1
