I have left a message for you in my group & check out the welcome greeting for you as well dear on the general board.
It seems like you will have your hands full this week dear, I hope you enjoy your daughters visit & the shopping with your grand daughter.
Petrol is expensive here as well, my carer keeps telling me that she has an allowance for travelling but it does not cover the expensive rate of travel.
I personally could not afford to run a car, as with the expensive insurance, road tax & petrol not including if any thing goes wrong with the car, I could surrender my motability allowance to pay for a brand new car & all I need to do is pay for petrol, but what is the point for just a few times at the most a week, I might as well catch taxi's, plus I prefer the money.
I have a snag board, if you wish to add to it you can with pleasure, also I have 4 members that say they would do tags for me but when I have requested any they never did them for me apart from one occasion, so have to rely on groups like yours Maureen, also I have a WWO board in case any one including your self wishes to put any up, if you wish you can start off a thread on the general board to offer WWO's if you like.
To prevent a cluttered general board I encourage members to use threads already up on the general board, like Chat Thread, Our News, daily greetings thread or the Mail boxes.
I am so pleased you have joined us there, I wish like my disabled groups they would start getting more active, my main disabled support group has 26 members, the gay disabled support group has 16 members & our Friendship group has 15 members yet only a few posts. It is going to be our first birthday on 1st October & every one tells me groups takes at least a year to get established, so keeping my fingers crossed that will mean they start getting busy, time will tell!
