?nbsp; What was Benny Parsons doing pushing Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s car through the garage Monday? Earnhardt Jr. was coasting off the track and he'd cut his engine so his crew could get a plug check. But another team was backing its car out of its garage and Earnhardt Jr. had to stop. So he needed a push to get to his spot and Parsons, the former Cup champion and current NBC analyst, was right there.

?nbsp;Elliott Sadler looks like what my Mom would have called a "wooly booger." Sadler spent most of the past seven weeks near his home in Emporia, Va., hunting with his buddies. "I left straight from the woods to come down here," he said. He also had a mustache and beard -- not the full pre-Yankees Johnny Damon look, but down that road. Sadler said he's lost 11 of 12 pounds he promised crew chief Tommy Baldwin Jr. he'd drop before the season. When he gets a haircut he'll be the rest of the way there.

?nbsp;Four of Jack Roush's five teams will test next week at Daytona, but Roush was at the track early Monday with Matt Kenseth's group. "I didn't want them to think I wasn't going to be here for them, too," Roush said.

?nbsp;Ford's teams are racing a new car, the Fusion. Chevrolet teams have new noses and tailpieces on their Monte Carlos. Anyone who can spot the differences on one moving 180 mph needs a hobby
