Thought about Ruby myself, then realized
she get her dues on that day also

we kinda forget that everyone we see as a
team or couple is not born in the same town

and they honor those and try to keep the
memory of them alive over the years that
was born in that area

so i'm sure Ruby get mention alot that day

You're probably right Pat.................. I think I'm just kinda concerned that there are many great artists who aren't honored by their hometowns....................  I know that Vienna, Mo., used to have Leona Williams day, but dropped it because of the traffic it brought into town!!  One would've thought the town would be grateful for all the extra income those tourists brought, but instead they complained and dropped the day.................. so much for honoring their hometown girl!!!    I'm thankful that there are towns who still honor and remember their native boys and girls who made it big............ just wish more of them were remembered.

Just make me wonder?  do they have a Texas Ruby day down Texas?

i agree with you, would have thought a town would love the money
a day bring in, they sure love Uncle Dave Macon, Jimmie Rodgers
Hank Williams days where they have them each year
