Howdy and welcome to the room!!!

To my knowledge, Carl does not have a website.  He retired completely and basically dropped out of the limelight, making special appearances like his Hall of Fame induction.  Sadly, I've heard nothing of him since Goldie passed away.

The Butlers are both gone now..........
Carl (1924-1992) and Pearl (1927-1989)

It'd be great if Ralph could talk him into it, but I don't think he has the desire to be anywhere since losing Goldie.  Carl is one of my favorite artists, as was Goldie Hill............ Just hate it when they die or dissappear from the public view.

Thanks for the posts..............

I highly respect Carl Smith's choice to stay
out of the public eye. When he did make an
exception, and showed up for his HOF
induction, he was told to "Stand Up And
Take A Bow" I believe it was a three hour
show, with lots of time for the likes of
Rascal Flatts and other rockers to perform,
but their was only time for Carl to stand from
the audience and take a bow. What an insult
to one of our greatest country legends. He
should have pulled a Waylon, and refused
to show at all.

You're right Gary.................. They didn't do justice to Carl at his Hall of Fame fiasco!!!  What a slap in the face it was to make him stay in the audience and simply stand up and bow...........just the way they did Bill Carlisle!!!  Heck, the history these two men shared in Country Music was surely worth a few minutes each on stage wasn't it?!

yeah, I don't blame Mr. Smith for staying out of the public eye............... I just miss him and those of his generation who really knew what the music was all about.
