Two New Exhibits at Hall of Fame

The Country Music Hall of Fameand Museum in Nashville will unveil two special spotlight exhibits in the next two weeks.

The first is dedicated to music icon Johnny Cash and will open Tuesday, Sept. 30. Johnny Cash: Man in Black, will be located on the third floor in the heart of the Museum’s core exhibition. Among the artifacts on display are a black leather duster designed by famed western outfitter Manuel Cuevas and a briefcase bearing Johnny’s initials. The following week, Oct. 7, the Museum will shine a light on legendary country singer Gene Watson, who had such hits as “Farewell Party?and “Fourteen Carat Mind,?with Gene Watson: Fourteen Carat Voice. Gene’s display features several wardrobes, including a suede cowboy hat with decorative pins. Both exhibits will run through spring 2009.
