I always try to remember to watch on Saturday nights. Yes, I did see the show last night. It is so good to see the older ones that sing real country music.

So many of them on the show have left us way too early!!!

Hi Joni and Maggie!!  What a great show it was!!!  I, too, really enjoyed seeing Miss Goldie sing with Jim Ed.  Of course, "Lookin' Back To See" was written, and recorded by Jim Ed and his sister Maxine.  Goldie put it out with Justin Tubb.  Great song................ great artists!!  Personally, I think it's a shame that Jim Ed and Goldie never recorded together.  They sounded great!!  Unfortunatly, I could't get my DVD Recorder to work last night!!  Made me mad!  I'm recording Hee Haw as I write this.  Jerry Lee Lewis is singing!

It was also a moving tribute they did for Grandpa Jones, who had recently passed on.  Looking around that room, I saw many who are no longer with us....................  Charlie Walker, Skeeter Davis, Bill Carlisle, Del Reeves, Goldie Hill,  Billy Walker, Bobby Lord,  etc.................... How empty country music and the Opry seems with the greats leaving us so quickly.

Sadly Billy Walker and his wife Bettie and two band members were

grandson Josh was badly injury in that accident and have not
