I just downloaded "Windows Live Essentials" and it updated my MSN/Windows Live Messenger and it also created a Groups category and all of you 'popped' in there.  So I can now see how we can have a Group chat in Windows Live Groups.

But what I really wanted to see...was if I logged in to my other account if again it would automatically 'pop' in there...but I did find out that Hexamom2 had to 'be' in the group...et voila...as soon as I  applied and approved myself (heheheh), and logged in to Messenger...there you all were in the KookyKritters Group category.

It appears as though Microsoft is taking 'baby steps' to improve the features of Windows Live Groups.  So if you would like to have all the new features...you can click on

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Now if I could find out if they're going to have a flippin' migration tool Tongue out

From what I understand...what I downloaded is the real McCoy Judy...they are still Beta-testing other features though.

Lori...will your system support XP?  I have a full-version XP if you want to upgrade a hair so that you too can share in all the joys of Microsoft XP...(said with a sickie sweet suspicious and not reassuring voice) pffffffffffffft!!

I think it will support XP. I checked on the Microsoft web site and it said it would. Also checked on the gateway site and it said it would also. I will check into how much the upgrade is. I am trying to sell my Dad's electric chair. If I get it sold it will be my new computer money!! It is only 3 years old and hasn't had much use so I am hoping to get at least a $1000 for it. If I split that with my sister it will still give me $500 for a new computer!

I think I have most of the stuff already.  Seems Vista was a bit of a bust from what I have read.  Hopefully Windows 7 will be an improvement.

Dot when I clicked on the above link I did get the new stuff but, my fonts got real small. Now if I could see that would be alright but I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the othere one even with glasses. Did  you get the smaller font when you clicked on it? If you did how did you get it at a readable size? I've tried going into control panel but got lost and didn't see anything that would help. Could somebody help me?  Thanks a bunch.

Cynthia...I'm assuming you were talking about Messenger...I hope anyway...but I can't 'see' your screen...sooooo

If you're talking about the fonts in Messenger...

There should be an icon to the right of the 'Search contacts' window...I put my mouse pointer and hover over the icons to see what they are...look for an icon that says 'Show Menu' and click on it.

Look down the list and select 'Tools', again look down the list and select 'Options'.  This will open up the window for all the options for Messenger...on the left hand side of the window select 'Messages'...

You should then see a 'Change Font' button...click on the button and then you can change the color, size, and type of font...don't forget to click on 'OK' at the bottom of that window.

If you were talking about the font for something else just let me know.

If you are able to see well enough...my sign-in for Messenger is [email protected]

No I was talking about the fonts for everything else. The fonts for messenger is ok I guess I've not had a message yet. This is on 5 I think.

I am typing  in what is the font now. Before I never had to increase unless I needed to say something loud!!!!  See the differance?  This what I get now.

I think you can go to tools on the top of your browser, click on that and then go to internet options. Someplace in there you should be able to click on display and there is a place to change your font size. I don't have time to go through it right now, but I will when I get home this afternoon and then I will post more directions if you haven't gotten it fixed.

Actually...in order to change the font size on web-pages...'IF' you are using Internet Explorer (I don't know...you may be using MSN Explorer, or Firefox, or any of the others) to change the font size of what you are reading...you need to find the "Text size".

Now if you have things set up with pages showing a menu at the top...Text Size can generally be found on the "View menu"...but if you have buttons...it also may be found on the "Page button"

If you are talking about your system fonts...or the fonts when you post a message...that will be another story...put it this way...I've always had to choose a larger font when posting...but if there is another issue...I'll need to know which operating system (WinXP, Vista, WinME, Win98)...which browser (Internet, MSN, or any other 'explorer) and possibly other info...depending on what we're dealing with.

Don'tcha just love it? heheheheh

That fixed it. I went to view and the settings were on smaller and I clicked medium and it fixed it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I can now see what is going on. I have Internet Explorer and Win XP so I fixed it with those good instructions.
