 Good Early Morning Everyone!

Yesssssss....I'm awake...so technically I 'could' be posting for yesterday...because I haven't been to bed yet

I had one of those days where I was puttering around doing alot but accomplishing little...and it raaaaaaaained all day...it was rather warm...but at least it wasn't the four-letter 's' word that they had originally called for...but alot of my day was occupied by cleaning goggie paws before they could re-enter the house because our yard is an official muck-mess.   And anybody that's ever owned a dog (I think all of you) know that if they get to running in muck...it gets little lovely specks of mud all over their bellies...yippee...heheheheheh

Talked to my Mary (daughter) forever on the phone...she must have been bored...but then again...maybe she wasn't...my two kids can stay on the phone forever...I 'think' I was like that when I was their age...but...I shake my head now...

One thing I did accomplish...and thoroughly enjoyed doing...I taught my son how to play Canasta...yeah...I forwarned him that it's kind of known as an 'old ladies game' now...but on the other hand...I think it's starting to make a resurgence...it was fun...and I forgot how much 'strategy' it takes...I taught him not because I've played it in the past 35 years...but because it brough back wonderful memories.  My Auntie Joan and my Mom used to play when my Aunt  would visit...I knew that I was 'growing up' when Auntie Joan taught me how to play.  And, when Mom wasn't too busy doing everyday chores and things she would play too.  So...I remember it with very fond memories.

And...it was good to get off the computer and actually play cards with actual cards and spend quality time with Michael...poor David is still in bed with his temp...not high...but around 100 with tylenol...so not normal...and he's achy...hopefully he'll break it today.

I wish enough for all of you!

Good morning.  Yes Dot this is considered posting for sat.
I have no clue how to play that game.  I've heard of it but that's about it.  My daughter can call me and spend forever on the phone too.  Drives me nuts, I hate the phone.  That was why it was a huge plus when I cancelled my reg. cell phone and got a prepaid.  Told her unless it involved an emergency, blood or death do not call me on it.  One thing she dislikes is driving and not having anyone to talk to so she would call me.  I'm so lucky. Actually I am.
Our snow didn't amount to much but we didn't expect it to.  Looking at the weather maps the other day showed we were only to get maybe 1" then some rain.  That's exactly what we got.

I hope you all enjoy your day.

Good Morning!! Canasta! I have always wanted to learn to play that. I have heard it is fun. It sounds like it was a wonderful day!
My BIL just called. They want me to go to church with them this morning. I know I need to get back to going again, but I just don't want to. I said I would go but am thinking of calling back and cancelling. They wll be disappointed if I do. I think I am just turning into a grumpy old lady!
We got about 5 inches of snow yesterday, I had to go out and shovel my driveway! I think I hurt my shoulder again. Nothing that won't heal, but I am going to have to find some kid in this mobile home court who wants to earn some money shoveling my drive!
gosh, I am grouchy this morning, aren't I??
Hmmmmm............. I have to drive my route to my new job today too and time it so I know what time I need to leave in the morning. A little nervous about getting up and there on time. I will set a couple of alarms! lol!!
Well, I am off to the shower so I am ready when they get here to pick me up.
Talk to you all later. Have a good one!

Mornin' all!  I got a rude awakening this morning...cats all puffed up & growling and a strange dog shaking & growling.  Seems my dear daughter has brought home a dog.  It looks like a mini pin but I'm not sure.  It's hiding behind the entertainment center.  Don't get me wrong.  I have nothing against dogs.  But she brings animals here & dumps them on me.

It's cold out & we have more snow flurries in the forecast.  Beats the crap out of freezing rain!  I ended up in a ditch yesterday thanks to the morning icing we had.  Not a problem...I ended up driving the ditch anyway.  It had better traction than the road.

Gonna watch a little football before I head to work.  Arizona won yesterday!  And I got to see the last 4 minutes of Baltimore beating the Titans.  What a game!  Today we're going for the Steelers & against the Giants.  I want a Manning-less Super Bowl!  I HATE the Mannings!!  Eli especially!!  I want to just b*tch-slap that boy!

Have a great day all!

Good Evening Everyone..on late here again.....I kept reading all day...falling asleep..reading...falling asleep.  I missed the game as it was on here...who won Tonia?  I can just see you driving the ditch too.  You are my hero! lol
Not much new here, cause I wasted the day lol.
Dot...my Mom and Dad used to play Canasta all the time with the neighbours on  a Saturday night.  Boy that brings back memories as sometimes Yoda and I would make the late lunch for them.  I hadn't thought of that in years.  I never learned how to play it though.  Is that the one with 2 decks of cards?
I know what you mean about the phone Claudia...I would just as soon live without one period.  I hope Jessica uses Bluetooth when driving!
Lori..I use 2 alarms here and sleep through them both I think.  Oops that is not helping you lol.  You will be just fine tomorrow...I am very proud of you!
Wishing Everyone a relaxing Sunday evening

Yeppirs Judy...two decks...although there are 'versions' for three decks and one deck...there are quite a number of 'versions'...but I think we would play the 'American' version...if you ever have the chance...I really enjoy it!!
