Good Morning! I am off to work. I just do not want to go!! I had another interview yesterday in Muscatine for a dietary management position. I think I will probably be offered that one. Not sure. Good money until you add up all the hours they expect you to work and then divide it into the salary!! But I am wondering if I could do it for a year to get out of the hole I find myself in and then find something else. I am thinking they would expect you to be there 60 to 70 hours a week. No time for a life!
Randa has an interview at Mercy tomorrow. I pray she gets it. She would have insurance starting in March if she gets hired in Feb.
Well, I am running late so I had best cut this short and get moving!!
Have a great day!!
                             Lori

Good Morning Lori and Everyone....My thoughts and prayers are with you Lori, that all will turn out in the end and the best years of your life will begin.
A litttle snow overnight.  With the freezing rain this week and the melting, etc, the streets are a mess....highways have been closed the mornnigs of the last few days, which made us very short at work.  Work...is right now a 4 letter word for me.  The end of yesterday one of the supervisors started to bully me.  I stuck to my guns she got more hot and I started to, so I walked away.  Little did she know I have the support of the Executive Director a few hours before, on my decision.  Crap part is...they are friends.....crap part 2 thing is.....these are the 2 that screwed royally my staff last week.  Going over the contract yesterday...there is a harrassment policy that both of us can use, if this continues.  I work for the people we support...NOT management.  Anyhoo..that's the "nut"shell.
Wishing everyone enough today, hug a loved one..it feels good for both of you.

Good morning all.  Lori I hope you find something that suits you.  Guess you didn't hear from that other job you interviewed for.  Just wasn't in the cards.  Hopefully you will find something soon.  That dietary management might be the answer and maybe it's not such long hours if you know what you are doing.  Some people just make things more involved and more difficult that necessary.

Judy sorry to hear about your work issues.  Hopefully that mess will get straightened out soon.

Hope everyone has a great day.  It's hump day only 2 more for you to go.

Good morning Everyone!

Today is kind of mixed as far as weather so far this morning...it was very cloudy but the sun is trying to peek it's head out now...yaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Judy I'm sorry to hear that you're having such a hard time at work.  It's that kind of situation that makes people call their employment work...instead of fun.  I hope that there IS a yang for their yin...because I truly believe that what goes around, comes around...and you'll end up on top.   ((((((((Judy))))))))

Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Lori, happy birthday to you...and many mooooooooorrrrrre

I'll probably be out shopping this afternoon...if nothing else...just to get out of this house.  My doctor's nurse called this morning to verify that I have an appt in 3 weeks so he can go over my lab tests with me.  I wonder what THAT means???

I wish enough for all of you!

Hello all!  I slept in simply because it's so gloomy out.  Rained all night & we're under flash flood warnings...also wind advisory.  Add the fact that my job sux = sleep in!  Had a chat with the DON yesterday--get this.  He asked me if I have addressed Itchy & Scratchy (the two incompetent day shift nurses).  Like it's MY job to "straighten them out"--his words.  Last night was horrible!  The ONLY reason I'm going in today is because of their stupid policy that ALL employees have to show up on time the day before & the day after a holiday even if you work the holiday.  Tomorrow is Lincoln's birthday.

Oh well!  I was wanting to stay there at least until I get back from Maine in August.  Not sure if that will happen.  Have a great day all!
