Kevin called last night sounding pretty upset.  He saw the pulmonologist yesterday & had xrays done.  He says his lungs look like they have spider webs on them.  The pulmo asked him if the family has a history of cystic fibrosis--no!  I told Kevin to tell the doc that he grew up in rural Illinois--histoplasmosis.  Kevin said that was the first q the doc asked him but he said no.  Hmm...I wonder where Kevin was all his life!  LOL  The doc mentioned sarcoidosis too.  Chances are good on the histo, though.  I also emailed Kevin about the H-S purpura he had--the same strep that killed my Daddy.  Kevin goes Tuesday for CT scans & a battery of tests.

It certainly looks like Kevin will have to stay off the subs.  It remains to be seen what the Navy will do with him.  If he has to have a medical discharge he can come back to Illinois & get a free education.  That's one of the perks of enlisting in Illinois.  Then he can use the Montgomery money to live on.  Plus he can get some VA bennies for enlisting in war-time.  And here he is with a baby on the way!  He is so worried!  My poor baby!  Please say prayers that my baby is okay!

Maybe this is meant to keep Kevin safe from kind of 'harm'...the Navy should be able to find him a job at 'home'.

I don't know anything about the pulmonary issues you wrote about...but I'm hoping that whatever they find...is the least of all 'evils' and curable or at least manageable.
