Funny but we were just talking about that. I always got dressed up except the last few years. I would end up exhausted and have a horrible backache at the end of the day. Wearing heels all day while cooking then cleaning up just puts me at the wrong height at the countertop. Not to mention the mess to my clothes. I dress but not like I used to. Now it's a blouse and slacks
I used to dress all the time...and holidays were really special...had to have the perfect outfit...
We even used to get new P.J.s (or nightgowns) for Christmas...just so we didn't look like little urchins in our pictures...heheheheh
I still carry on the nightgown thing...I have one nightgown that I don't wear except on Christmas...but...I don't dress since my hubby is such a 'redneck'...which is not a bad thing...but he wouldn't have the same 'appreciation'
But if I were to visit anyone on the holidays...I would definitely dress
