Do you remember a very special gift you received for Christmas, that is still dear to your heart, throughout the years?

I admit I was kinda spoiled and got lots of gifts in my lifetime.  I remember a lot of them, but my most precious memories are about the people and the love that surrounded me.  I always felt loved...never a doubt.

As far as gifts...my dad & grandma got together & got me a package of souvenirs from Keith Magnuson (a defenseman on the Chicago Blackhawks).  I LOVED Keith Magnuson!  We were both redheads & our birthday was the same day!  Too cool!  Grandma & Dad wrote him a letter & he sent them a bunch of stuff including a stick, a puck, pictures & a letter.  OMG!  I was thrilled out of my mind!  Then on our birthday he sent me a card...it was the gift that kept on giving.  LOL

One gift I will never forget was the go-cart my dad got me when I was little.  Dad would ride it all over town, which was great fun seeing my six foot-plus tall dad in that go-cart.  Dad always bought me toys he ended up playing with.  LOL  I always ended up with dart guns, footballs, etc.

Probably my diamond stud earrings.  Now don't think they are these huge diamonds because they aren't.  I'm not into big jewelry but I am into diamonds.  I have no idea why.  Reason they are special is my husband scraped and saved and worked tons of overtime to get them for me.  You had the option of trading up to bigger ones but I never did.  I still have them and they are still special to me.  I have other jewelry that is worth so much more money wise but these I treasure more.

I've had many memorable Christmases...but one gift I loved...and had so much use out of for sooooo many years...and I think I held it dear because I knew my parents must have spent beyond their budget at the time...it was a watch...with changeable bezels and matching bands...very similar to the one in this link...but I remember it being more elegant looking...I think I got it when I was 12...and it made me 'feel' so grown up...
