If I were to make a garden salad for you, what would you want in it?

What would you absolutely NOT want in it?

Variety of salad dressings, just one fav, or none?

Salad dressing on top, or on the side?

I was raised by a yankee (north-eastern) woman...who used iceberg lettuce...and I thought that was the only kind of lettuce that existed until my mid-20s...heheheheh...I always thought that the other 'leafy' things in the produce section were Kale, Endive, Arugula, and whatever else 'greens' might be...so I'm an iceberg kinda gal...the others taste bitter to me

On that note....I make a salad for myself almost everyday...and everyday is different depending on what I have in stock at home

If I were to make a garden salad for you, what would you want in it?  A salad may be iceberg lettuce, tomato, cucumber, celery, black olives, croutons, carrot shavings...maybe red (yeah I know they're purple) onion...that's the usual...but I'll also do things like bacon bits, pickled beets, cabbage, spinach, chicken tenders, shredded cheese, tuna salad, ham, turkey, hard-boiled eggs, and other things to really make it a meal if I'm not eating heavy the rest of the day...

What would you absolutely NOT want in it?  No nuts...they taste bitter with my salads

Variety of salad dressings, just one fav, or none?  I never really ate dressing on my salads until I was in my late 20s...I've gone through phases when it comes to dressings...now I'm in my Zesty Italian or Honey Mustard phase...hehehe...but I've been through Catalina, Thousand Island, Blue Cheese, Ranch, flavored ranches, and others...now it's mostly looking for the 'lowest saturated fat' dressing

Salad dressing on top, or on the side?  If I'm out at a restaurant...definitely on the side...because most places glop dressings on salads...and sometimes I 'dip' at home...heheheheh

I like iceberg, romaine, cukes, red onion, croutons and tomato with blue cheeze dressing or hidden valley ranch.

I absolutely love greek salad from this diner near my house.  OMG I could eat it every single day.  It's the best greek dressing I've ever tasted.

I do not like carrots, green peppers (they kill me)  shredded cheese in my salad.  Hate what we refer to as grass clippings.  That is the new yuppie salad you know the baby greens that I swear include little branches and other stuff that gets stuck in your throat.

Salad dressing either way, side on top doesn't matter.

If I were to make a garden salad for you, what would you want in it?  I prefer iceberg lettuce and/or spinach...fresh mushrooms, cukes, radishes, carrots if they're shredded, Vidalia onion or green onion, hard boiled egg, "real" bacon bits, croutons, shredded cheese, sunflower seeds, tomato....sometimes tuna, ham, turkey or chicken.

What would you absolutely NOT want in it?  none of those "fancy" greens

Variety of salad dressings, just one fav, or none?  depends...I really like those spray on dressings but sometimes I want a dollop of dressing on the side.  I like 1000 Island, ranch, Catalina or blue cheese.  Sometimes I drizzle my salad with V8.

Salad dressing on top, or on the side?  on the side please
