Nope not me. So many times there have been recalls on these prepackaged meats. I know they also load them up (at least the ones in the meat case not the freezer) with preservatives because if you check the date they are good for weeks.
Nope! I am kinda picky about my meat. I usually buy my meat at a local locker but if I have to buy it at a store I go to the IGA in the town where I'm from. I've known the meat cutter there forever! I think meat from the stores tastes funny...but I have always eaten fresh-cut meat from the local locker. When all 4 kids were home I'd buy a side of beef twice a year. Now it would take forever to eat half a cow!
Noppirs here too...can't bring myself to buy something I can't see...and we do have a 'butcher' not too far from here...but I know our Food City gets their meats from them and I just don't need to buy in quantity.
The recalls haven't convinced me that they're handled well...and I think they have a higher fat content than the ground beef I buy...I HAVE to watch my fat intake....
