It's actually a tool and an entertainment center all wrapped in one for me.

Think about it...I watch movies, listen to music, have the ability to watch TV shows, look at and save pics, play games...communicate with friends and family...I can even 'see' friends and family if so desired.

The 'tool' part of it is that I do my taxes, keep my medical info (appts., medications, docs) all in nice Excel worksheets, write letters, keep recipes, go shopping, keep my budget, print labels, pay bills, and many, many other functions that needs to be organized.

My PCs are an essential part of my life.

It serves a multitude of purposes for me just like Dot.  Keeping records, paying bills, keeping in touch with people and playing games.

My pc is a necessity since the boys joined the military.  It's our only means of communication when they're deployed.  And I get to talk to Hunter on the web cam so we can see each other which is great!  I can keep track of how much he has grown up!  Of course I have met some wonderful friends through the years too.

LOL Carla!
I do some banking, but not a lot, still wary there, pay a few bills.  Ups and downs for me on the pc.  Laughter and tears.
The downs, which were intense, taught me a lot.  Out of something bad comes something good.
The good are meeting some very very nice people.  I don't think I would have actually gotten connected to go storm chasing 2x without the pc.
