If you had the chance to check out a haunted house, would you go?

I'm not 'in' to anything creepy...like horror flicks...I think the people in those movies are dumb as bricks...if a house ever told me to 'get out'...all it would see was my dust trail....heheheheh

Buuuuuuuuuut...that being said...I 'might' try it anyway...just so I could add it to my list of experiences...and...because I have my doubts about honest-to-goodness hauntings...people's imaginations have a way of 'seeing' things...

I grew up in a "haunted" house.  We knew who he was--the son of the previous owners who was shot down over Normandy in WWII.  Gene never hurt us or did anything ornery...just walked the upstairs.  The house I'm in now has many spirits & some are not nice.  But we're learning to get along.  The animals sense them more than I do...a lot of times the cats will follow something unseen.  So you all just come on over!  LOL

Judy...it's to be expected!  LOL  my parents' house was built in 1866 by the area doctor.  There was an area of the basement that was dug under the ground & "hidden"--served two purposes--the morgue and a hiding spot for the Underground Railroad.  My parents were the third owners of the house.  The doc sold it to a couple & their son.  When Gene went to the war his mother left his bedroom intact & when news came of his death it became a shrine.  That room was like a time capsule.  The couple told us Gene wandered the house.  He didn't move when his parents did.  After Dad died & Mom sold the house the kids who bought it spent many nights freaked out by the unseen rocking chair, the footsteps & the doors closing.  LOL

This house started its life as a church in 1806--go figure there are spirits here!  LOL  I really need to look into the history so I can get some understanding.  Right now the biggest problem is the window issue.  Someone wants the windows open all the time!
