Pumpkin Scones 10oz (2 1/2 cups or 3oog) well drained cooked pumpkin 1oz(2 tbls or 25gram) softened butter 1tbls caster sugar,1 tbls of honey 1 egg 9oz(2 1/2 cups or 250 gram) self raising (rising) flour pinch of salt 1 tsp of ground cinamon 1/4 tsp of grated nutmeg 2 fluid oz(or 3/4 cup) of milk. Heat oven to 450f(230c or gas 8) mash pumpkin.Mix the butter with the sugar and honey. Beat the egg and mix with pumpkin.Add to butter and sugar, sift flour salt and spices into a bowl, then fold into pumpkin mixture alternatly with the milk. Add more milk if necessary, to form a soft dough. Knead the dough lightly and pat out to 3/4 inch(2cm) thick. cut into rounds with a 2(5cm) inch cutter, place on greased baking sheet and bake for 12 -15 minutes.
