Hi everyone,

I hope you all don't mind but I haven't joind this group because I've had an illness, but because my lovely Mother has.  She was on holiday with my Father and my Son in Las Vegas when she was rushed to hospital with extremely high blood pressure. Once inspection they found she had huge problems with her heart and she had to have a double bypass. The whole experience was awful for myself, my brother and all my family back here in England and my 10 year old son flew home by himself where I met him at Gatwick. My Mother arrived home 2 weeks ago and although the relief that she was home was great I am still not coping very well with the whole experience.  I am being very calm and controlled when I'm with her but when I'm alone at home I'm still crying and feeling very shocked and scared by everything.  I'm a little bit of a control freak and need to know the ins and outs of everything to do with my mother heart disease and medications etc. and who better to ask than people who have experience the same thing in one way or another.  I really appreciate any kind of help and advice that people can give.  My Mum is only 54 years old bless her.  My date of birth is 12th October 1972
