Isn't it amazing that when we want to do something, we find the time, no matter how busy we are? But when someone asks us to do something we don't want to do, suddenly there is just no room in the schedule. Life is so short and we need to cherish every moment. We need to stop procrastinating and live our life while putting God first. If we could all "go back" in time, isn't there so much we would do differently?
If we are serving God only when it's convenient for us, then we are settling for second-best. This life is so temporary, and if we do not make the most of it, we stand to lose so much in the life to come. We could lose our souls. If we make time for the things of God only when something better doesn't come along first, then we are missing out on what God wants to do in our lives and we may miss Heaven. Some points to ponder today.
How much better it is to make time for the things of God—to put the things of God above everything else. After all, this world is not our home, and our eternal life is what we will all soon be facing. How much better it is to get your priorities right. Instead of making excuses, make time for the Lord. It is not only the simple way to live, but also the best way.

What is one of your most favorite childhood memories? Probably celebrating holidays with all my family when I was little. They would come in on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we had such fun. At that time it was something I really loved and enjoyed. |
