Hello... and welcome to CFI Tea Time! We are so thrilled to see all of those that post here at CFI! Grab a snack, a cup of tea or coffee, and join right in! The plan for this special group is to share whatever the Lord lays on your heart?whether it is in the form of a devotional, poem, picture, random thought, or general question. You are among friends here so feel free to take a look around and be blessed! Share in your joys and sorrows, good news and not-so-good news?whatever you feel inspired to share with the group. This group is one of love and respect. We are here to uplift, encourage, and pray for one another. Please join us in the spirit of fellowship and learn about each other and help each other in this journey that we have been called to travel. I look forward to sharing with each of you in making this board a testimony to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and a place for friends to share! | | | | | | | | A Bee Bg | | | | | | |

When you find yourself "in the day of trouble," what did the Lord say to do? "Let us therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need"(Hebrews 4:16). "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water"(Hebrews 10:22). Acts 6:4 - But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. |

Just imagine. You are driving on a four-lane highway. There are no other cars in sight and no police to be found. No. Just you and the open road. Want to change lanes? Go ahead and don't worry about signaling because you are the only one on the road. As a matter of fact, go ahead and change two, three or even all four lanes at a time. And forget about checking the mirrors, just change lanes as you please. Remember, it's just you and the open road. Miss your exit? No problem. Just back up. Or better yet, turn around and go the opposite direction in the same lane. There is no one else to worry about. Just you and the open road.
We cannot afford to live our lives as if we were on the open road. You know, live them as if no one else was around. For our actions no matter how small or large, have the potential of impacting someone else. There are people around us all the time, whether we know them or not. And we just don't know who is watching, who is listening, who is observing. At times the impact of our actions and words may not be immediate but will show up down the road. As children of God, we have a responsibility to conduct our lives so that 'when' impacts are made upon others, they are positive ones. Whether we are at home, at work, at school, on the phone or in the market place, we must carry ourselves knowing that we are not the only ones on the road and that others will be affected by what we say and do. The Open Road.

Whatever the reason, from pumpkins to politicians, it certainly feels like fall to me. So how is your season progressing? Are you like the majority of folks who answered a recent Weather Channel poll that "autumn" was their favorite time of year? What are you drinking, and what's for dinner? |
