Did you ever think about what happened to people who complained in the Bible?  Do you complain? Don't be too quick to answer this one. Think about it for a minute.

And do not complain as some of them did and were destroyed by the destroyer.

(1 Cor. 10:10)

9Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

10Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

What are your comments about the weather usually like?  Is it TOO HOT or TOO COLD? Are you thankful for cold weather, hot weather, rainy weather, cloudy weather, and sunny weather?    Do you murmur about the weather God sends or do you appreciate it? How do you speak about your spouse?  Do you complain about how they do this, or how they do that? What kinds of things do you say about your job?  Do you complain about someone who didn't treat you the way you thought you should be treated?  Almost everyday you may hear complaining and a LOT of it.....  Some "Christian" (so called?) people are some of the worst examples!!!  Shame on us if we are.  Examine yourself in this. All of us need to watch what we say when it comes to complaining.  We have WAY toooo many blessings to complain.

In 1 Corinthians 10 you can read about the Israelites after they had been delivered from Egypt.  In verse 10 ..... you can see that some of the Israelites complained and that God was angry enough to destroy them.  Why did the Israelites complain?  On one occasion they went without water for three days. They complained when they didn't have food......They complained when they had manna, but no meat.  Put yourself in their situations.  Would you have complained?   God sent severe judgments for complaining even in situations that we might think it justified to grumble or whine about.  This has been really been on my mind and I think we better THINK long and hard before we open our mouths from now on.  We want the blessings of God on our lives...NOT the wrath!  How much more do people deserve the wrath of God who complain about 'little things' such as the weather (sent by God) or another person being inconsiderate.

These things happened to them as examples and were written down for warnings for us...Therefore, if you think you stand firm take heed lest you fall  (1 Cor. 10:11-12)

LET US TAKE HEED!  THIS MAY BE A WARNING TO ALLLLL OF US!!

?AIN'T GOD GOOD ?/STRONG>

FOR FORTY LONG YEARS GOD'S PEOPLE JOURNEYED IN THE WILDERNESS
SEARCHING FOR CANAAN, THAT  BLESSED PROMISED LAND
THEY NEVER WENT TOO HUNGRY NOR THEY NEVER GOT TOO THIRSTY
BUT THE MORE THAT GOD KEPT BLESSING THEM
THE MORE THEY WOULD COMPLAIN

IN THE TIME THAT WE LIVE SO MANY ARE UNTHANKFUL
AND ANY MORE THEY FAIL TO SEE THAT GOD HAS GIVEN ALL
NEVER HAVING TIME FOR GOD THEY'RE ALWAYS BUSY WORKING
TO PAY FOR CARS, NEW HOMES, TVS', AND CARPETS WALL TO WALL

CHORUS

AIN'T GOD GOOD TO GIVE US SO MANY BLESSINGS
UNDESERVING, THAT'S WHAT WE ARE
WE OUGHT TO THANK HIM, LOVE AND PRAISE HIM
A LITTLE MORE TODAY
AND A WHOLE LOT MORE TOMORROW

(ENDING)
A LITTLE MORE TODAY
A LITTLE MORE TODAY
A LITTLE MORE TODAY
AND A WHOLE LOT MORE TOMORROW
