Chocolate Cherry Bread

Serves: 

Ingredients:

1/3 cup half and half--plus
2 tbsp half and half
2 eggs
3/4 tsp orange rind-grated
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp salt
3 cups bread flour
2 1/2 tsp yeast
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate-chopped
4 oz. dried cherries
1/4 cup orange juice

Procedure:

Soak dried cherries in orange juice for 6 hours or overnight.
Place all the ingredients except cherry mixture and chocolate in the machine
in the order as directed by manufacturer of your machine. Program for basic
white bread and press start.
After 33 minutes or when the "beep" sounds, add the cherry mixture with any
remaining liquid and the chocolate.
