Forgotten KISS Cookies Serves: 3 dozen Ingredients: 2 egg whites 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar 1/8 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 36 HERSHEY'S KISSES brand chocolates Procedure: 1. Heat oven to 375°F. Grease cookie sheet.
2. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt in small medium bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar, one tablespoon at a time; continue beating until stiff peaks form, mixture is glossy and sugar is dissolved. Stir in vanilla.
3. Remove wrapper from each candy piece. Drop meringue by half-teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheet; top with chocolate piece. Cover chocolate with small teaspoon meringue, making certain to completely cover chocolate. Place cookies in hot oven. Turn off oven and allow cookies to remain overnight or until oven has cooled completely. About 30 cookies.
* 1 cup HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips OR 1 cup HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chips can be folded into meringue in place of HERSHEY'S KISSES brand chocolates. Drop by teaspoons onto greased baking sheet. Bake as directed above. Posted by: DFL924 |
