Welcome

Being totally nosey, what are RLS, DDD and MVP.  I remember looking up RLS, but it escapes my brain, like much of my thinking does.

Hello Whisper,

I am Cynthia in Bama.
ROLL TIDE  I am in Birmingham, born and raised. I am happily divorced mother of two teens.

I am disabled and suffer Scleroderma. I am also diagnosed with Buerger's Disease, Sjorgrens, CREST Syndrome,COPD, early stages PAH,asthma, Fibromayalgia, lol, like you, I forget some of them, especially after I take my nighttime meds. lol I suffer neurophy myself in legs and foot that has been partially amputated before I got the heck away from medical Center East and got to UAB. UAB fixed me up. I had been declared terminally ill and got my disability within a month of applying.  I think I fooled tham cause that was 19992000 and I am still kicking with the help of $3200. month pharmacy bill. Thank goodness I have medicare and Humana drug rider which has worked great for me.

Great to have evereyone with us. I have not felt well last few days but look forward to eeting everyone soon. It is obvious it is time for me to crawl back in my bed. lol

Hey Cynthia,
I am in Ragland, just outside of Pell City. I know UAB well, we just spent 6 weeks there, hubby had a liver tansplant, he is recovering nicely. They also told us he had only 6 month about 2 years ago, then we got into Kirklin Clinic.

I have been going to a doctor that specializes in several of AI diseases at Trinity ( BMC Montclair)...........I love her.

Great to meet you

Merry Meet to you Whisper! My vascular surgeon is in the transplant area you will be visitng for followups. I was declared terminally ill in 1999 at Medical center east now St. Vincent East but same doctors! I was scheduled and done all pre surgery stuff. I was to be at hospital at 5 am. Instead, I went to UAB. I had called day after I got home from doing pre op stuff and spoke with a secretary of a vascular doctor at UAB. They told me to be there at 9 am. I still have the leg MCE wanted to amputate and it gets me around nicely thank you. MCE almost killed me and I will always believe that. Anyway, lol, that is my story and I am sticking to it.

I actully have Scleroderma and it is kicking my arse right now, but look forward to getting to know you and hope you come to new home with us.
