Hiya!! I am Jenn, 36 years old with two wonderful kids aged 14 and 16, Pat and Kelly. I am currently separated in the process of getting my divorce finalized. I live with my mom due to my numerous health issues (mostlly for safety's sake)
What is wrong with me? Okay..here goes ;)
I have muscle disease that affected my respiratory muscles, I now live on a vent nearly full time. I work very hard to do as much as possible for myself and my kids...
I also have atypical CF (cystic fibrosis) which caused sticky mucous in my lungs and other places resulting in chronic infections requiring frequent runs of antibiotics. Yummy!! I also do chest physio twice a day to loosen the junk in my lungs as well as neb many meds.
My joints are also shot...I have collagen vascular disease, mainly Ehlers Danlos syndrome which results in repeated dislocations, joint pain, Raynaud's, strange skin, easy scarring etc...
My thyroid has taken a beating too..I have Hashimoto's, an autoimmune disorder  that kills the thyroid. I take replacement hormone for that.
Arrythmias-SVT (supraventricular tachycardia)
Pancreatic insufficiency (take enzymes to digest my food)
Diabetes (require insulin)
GERD...the list could go on and on so I will stop now. About now, you get the idea that my body is a mess, but my mind is not (well, that has been debated LOL)
Hobbies: I love to read...anything (except those stupid romance novels), enjoy my computer, drawing (starting to paint as well), I love my family and friends, I love a good funny movie...I also enjoy warm, sunny days.
Well, that's enough about me...I am glad to meet you! Hugs, Jenn :)

Jenn...I love you!! I thought I was the only female in the US that hates those stupid romance novels! LOL
I'd rather read the back of the toilet paper!

Love, Connie

Hey Jenn, I can relate to the Raynaurds for sure. I am very familiar with many of your ailments. I bet you already know this, but my Rheummy told me it is quite common to acquire more auto immune disorders once immune system is compromised.

Are you familiar with Scleroderma? You should read about it as we share many traits that are closely related.

I can't stand romance novels either.  I used to read Barbara Cartland, as a teen, because I love history and my Aunt had thousands of the books and kept sending them to me.  I can't stand the romance aspect of them.

You girls are something else... I think you are the only members that I have ever had that pull posts out of the closet that have dust on them.... Jenn, is our manager and she has been here since day 1~! LOL But in your defense she doesn't post because of her health, kids and she has her own group. I guess she failed to mention that she was a RN studying to be a doctor... But anyway.... I will let her know that you responded to her post!
Hugs
Dawn
