I wanted to move this cause it will get lost on the daily sign in.....

Hello everyone

Sorry I have not been in touch, I hope you are all doing well. I have a new lawyer a new doctor and I am optimistic I am on the up-swing. I have to have surgery Nov 26th on/in my left ear. I had a cat scan yesterday on my head to see how far the infected bone behind my left ear has gone. I don't know how but they plan to remove it. I just started blood pressure medicine, I didn't realize how much of a problem it had become. I guess if it doesn't work they won't do the surgery. I have to start PT and OT again, this will be my 5th try. The tax season is right around the corner and I can't decide what to do. I have to make a decision next week. If I don't catch up my mortgage we will have to be out next spring. My doctor said if I don't stop worring I won't be here at all, she says I am very close to having a stroke or worse. Well enough about me I want to catch up on you guys. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am trying to focus on what I am thankful for and people like you are on the top of my list. Thank you Dawn for checking on me and pulling my head above water before I drown. Excuse my spelling, it's not my best feature lol.
Luv ya
Kris

I live in Indianapolis, no relitives that I know of in TN. But my Dad could have fathered more children during the 20 years he was gone. I always wonder if I have other siblings lol.

Hmmmmm, sounds like Dad. I got a 35 year old baby brother for Christmas one year. I swear, long story. LOL
I used to live in Portage, IN.
Had a terrible experience in Indianapolis once......I got suckered into chaperoning my oldest daughters (Christi) field trip to the capitol, the childrens museum, and the speedway, by the time we got to the speedway, I was ready to throw a bunch of kids under a car. LOL

Hello,
Well I am laying here going through the motions of getting ready for the tax season. My right foot up to the middle of the shin is going between throbbing in pain and being numb. Basically the same with my right arm and hand. The pain in my spine is bad enough but I keep thinking I will look over and my hand and foot will be all black or blue. Well I meet with my lawyer tomorrow, I have to prepare for the deposition. I have appointments for my ears, physical therapy, social secuity medical and mental exams all in the next few weeks. Here is to a better year in 2008!

<DIR>

I found out what is in my medical file that explains a lot when I did my deposition.

After a 5-hour deposition I was asked again if I had ever been in litigation before, or if I ever complained of injuries before the car accident. I said No No

Then he lays this 2 page letter from some doctor I never heard of, dated in 1991 saying I said I was in a car accident and I had all these specific injuries and they ran all these test and I would not accept the truth that I had no injuries. Then it states I was committed to a physic hospital.

None of this is true. Can you believe this?

My lawyer said he knew nothing about it, but he said he thinks they know it’s not me. He said that lawyer who was questioning me believes me and is ready to settle this.

So I meet w my lawyer next Thursday to go over my answers again, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an offer, maybe or maybe not.

Last week I went in to the doctor w a bladder infection and a refill on my pills. The Dr said my piss test shows and infection and she said it also says I am not taking my pain meds. I said no, I take them 3 times a day, and she didn’t believe me so they wouldn’t give me my pain meds until yesterday.

I haven’t been able to walk, sit or stand since. I am finally felling a bit better. I hate people who abuse their power.

I think that letter in my file is fake; It goes into way to much detail. It doesn’t even look like it’s from a dr office.

Tax season has died down so I just need to rest for a bit and I will be back to chat w you guys.

Kris

Hello everyone,

Sorry I haven’t been in touch. I have survived the tax season (I guess). Thank God my clients I acquired before the car accident are so loyal. I wonder if they knew I was running this business laying in my bed if they would still be confident in me. I am now looking for a house to rent since I have lost this one. This is all I need lol, pack up and move. I am still trying to recover from the tax season and my right shoulder, neck arm and hand are useless. I can't lift a thing so my son's will be doing all the hard work. I wanted to talk to you guys about an issue I am sure you are all familiar with. How do/did you adjust to life after or with pain? When I did my interview for SSI Disability the man said he thinks I am suffering from posttraumatic stress syndrome. He said I need help figuring how to deal with and live with my injuries. I am so ashamed of my weight gain, I feel my cane I use is a sign of weakness, and I don’t want to reveal my pain to anyone! If I leave my house I fear being seen by anyone who knows me. My lawyer say’s that is my personality, it’s the way I am wired. I asked how do I change the way I think? He said you don’t, you learn how to cope. Any advice from you guys?

Hi Kris Its good to hear from you!
I have to be honest, when I first read this it pissed me off. Your lawyer is an IDIOT!
Let me tell you.. if they had your disability and your pain and you threw a cane in their hands they would have the same feelings. Its normal! And If I remember correctly your pretty young right?
I am dealing with the same issues... And of course I have my mother who also used a cane being she had MS So when people see me with a cane they are asking questions Do you have MS like your mother ect... which is always fun!
Are you in counseling Kris? I know this would help you. I am going... And what she told me is there will come a time when my disability will become apart of my life more then it is a problem. Meaning that I would adjust to it. She said sometimes it takes along time but it would come. Now I know your disability is probably worse then mine but you will come to that common ground also.
I have also gained major weight and i HATE using my cane. My cousin who has the same thing with her back as I do uses a wheel chair. I told her I would NOT use one unless i was crawling! She said well girl you will use one so you dont fall on your ass! She is only 2 years older then me. If i don't use my cane and my knee blows out... I will be on the ground. Also, having to deal with all the issues that I can't do anything I use to be able to do is a killer. I can't go to the mall, any place where i have to stand for long periods of time I cant dance, go walking i feel useless!
I guess my advice is to get some counseling.
I still can't believe your lawyer said that to you! I would have smacked him in the eye! LOL Also you could see if there is any support groups in your area that you could go too.
I hope this helped.
Hugs
Dawn
