its snowing here too.
Has been for about 3 hours? And we've now got close to half a foot in my backyard.
It sucks, but it's tuckers first snow and he LOVED it. Much of tomorrow will be spent outside I think lol

We haven't had this much snow all at once in YEARS. It may even rival the snowfall of '96 once it's done (we got a whopping 2-3 feet that year!)

Tomorrow is supposed to be between -8 and -11...I work outside. I'ma freeze my ass off! PLUS 8 is too low

You guys!!!  ARE YOU SERIOUS??????????

I said.... DOWN TO... 800 feet.

Not 800 feet of snow.   I can't believe you guys thought that.  Sheesh...

Before I moved down to Paradise we were at 3500 feet.  Now I am at 2500 feet.  800 feet is definatly down in Chico where I work.  I NEVER SNOWS DOWN TO THAT LEVEL.

Anyway, it stopped last night, but suppose to pick up today and snow all through Mon and Tues.  I may not have to go in to work tomorrow.

I will post a movie later if it really starts to come down.

Are we serious?  No one around here has ever said 'down to so-many-feet'. It either sticks to the ground or it doesn't.  So, Robbin, we aren't stupid, we just had no idea wtf you were talking about.

I knew exactly what she was talking about.  She always refers to how the snow comes down in altitude.  Its normal-speak for those in mountainous regions.

Yep, that's how snowfall is reported here in Albuquerque, they report how many inches at what elevations.

we had a lovely ice storm here and it sucked.  I HATE ICE.  I 'll take the snow bc we can play and still drive in 4wd, but screw the ice. It melted today though.  They are calling for more ice this week though so yahoooo.

I live in another world here from the rest of my town I sware.  We get the brunt of the storms than the rest of my city up here on this hill.  We watch storms come in.

I was supposed to be in Denver Tuesday, but because of ice & snow, I was 2 days late getting out of Iowa.  I finally got here Thursday night, and the weather was SO beautiful.  The only snow I saw was on the Rockies....my sister lives kind of in the foothills.  It was 55 degrees both Friday and Saturday.  What a shock this morning to wake up to about 5 inches of snow, and temps in the single digits.

Breathtakingly beautiful, for sure, but I hope they clear the roads enough so I can get home tomorrow.

I LOVE snow!  Just not when I'm driving.

Great movie, Bobbin.. though I haven't seen the new one.

We just got totally ripped off.  We were supposed to wake up to a bunch of snow but it just missed us.  The kids are devastated that they have to go to school.  LOL...

We got about 5 inches of snow on Tuesday (I got home from Denver JUST in time!).  Today, we have several inches of ice and snow coming.  Last time this happened, we lost our power.  We'll get a break for a few hours Friday evening, then snow again this weekend.  Guess we'll have a white Christmas :)

I love the snow, but the ice is so damaging.  Can't drive on it, all we can do is sit inside and listen to the trees crackle, hoping they survive.  I lost several trees last time, and the two in front I don't think can survive another ice storm.

Anyway, I'm in for probably the whole weekend---they've already cancelled all evening activities that are school-related, and I'm guessing no school tomorrow, so the kids will get an extended Christmas break.  Sara's pretty happy about that.

So I will probably bake till the power goes out, and be a hermit all weekend!  Today, though, while it's nice, I'm going to go out and take pictures of the really beautiful snow all around!

Stay warm everyone!

P.S.  Jess---Dog gas is the worst!  (what DO they eat?)
