I just wanted to let everyone know that Soundtech (Don), my wonderful husband, whom I met in Classic Rock chat 8 yrs ago passed away on Friday from a heart attack. He had many friends on the net. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by his friends and family. |

(((((Loriz))))) Bless your heart. I am at a loss for words. I was out of town yesterday and I just now found this thread. I am so sorry to hear about Don's passing. I was so pleased that Don came back to chat recently. It seems like it was just the other day he popped in for a little while. Yes, he always hogged the computer from you (LOL!), but he would always tell me that you said hello. I'll never forget those: "Loriz says Hi!" He loved you with all his heart Lori. Don and I use to talk about that crazy dirt track racing all the time. The man loved it! I know how he hated to give that up. I know he had a hard time with the cancer and intense pain he was in for so long. I've thought about y'all often, especially when I would go past a dirt track in Tennessee. I hate that we all never did get to meet up in person. Loriz, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love ya, Chicky |

Everyone, again, I just don't know what to say to all of you other than thanks so much for all of your support! Today I'm better, but still so damn sad. His funeral service was very nice. It was in an old type church with a young preacher. I asked them to play a couple of songs, I got one from Vince Gill and then the preacher read the words to an SRV song, and as many of you know, SRV was Don's favorite! I said that Saturday morning, if Don had his way, he was up in Heaven jammin and playing guitar with Stevie Ray!! By now, he's met all of the late greats and played guitar or sang or just hung out with them! I know he's looking out for me and the kids and that he misses us as much as we miss him. However, he is out of pain now and in a much better place. Thanks again to everyone, I know he thought the world of all of you!! Thanks for all of the hugs and love and for reminding me again how much he loved me. Loriz |

Loriz.. no apologies. I'm glad we're here for you. I hope you will take gross advantage of us and continue to post and let us help you out as much as we can here. I want you to know that you guys have hardly been off my mind since hearing about Don's death. How are the kids doing? Do you have other family around to help you out? My heart goes to out to all of you... You may not remember VelezBlanco (above Post #26) but I told him about you and Tech many times long ago. You have such a great story about how you met and fell in love and got married... you both made a wonderful, lasting impression on me and I'm so sick that you're going through this now. |

Fluff, I'm still so very sad . I'm ok, then not ok...I've been every possible emotion that I could be since Friday. The kids are coping and doing ok. You know, kids are so resilient. Don's mom has been really supportive. She is taking it really hard. His dad is older and has his own heart probs, so we've been watching him, he is really just torn apart by this. My family, what I have left, I lost my parents years ago, are all in TX. I am thinking about going back, leaving VA, but I'm trying not to make any hasty decisions. My son, Nic, is autistic and I just have to make the best life for me and him. I know Don would want that. Can't remember if I knew VelezBlanco or not, but I appreciate all of the kind words. Seems like me and Tech meeting in Classic Rock chat, hitting it off, getting married and all made an impression on a lot of people. Seems like we were one of the success stories. He loved all of you guys and I do to...bunches. Thanks for the kind words Carole, I really, really appreciate it. |

Ok everyone, I'm starting to feel better, today (Friday) has been a week. I know Don would want me to. I started crying in Walmart when they were playing some stupid sounding Christmas music, but, then again, I guess I can't cancel Christmas this year-----or can I?? OK, definitely not!! Anyway, I TRULY do appreciate all of everyone's support. I know that Don would have loved you guys for supporting me---does that make sense? I'm REALLY tired. I'm not sure what is making sense and what is not. Anyway, I want to thank everyone and to wish everyone Happy Holidays and lot of good presents . You have all made me feel so much better. I miss the old room and all of my old buds, it would be nice to chat again sometime---maybe in memory of Tech? I love you all ((((((((((((everyone))))))))))))). Loriz |

Hey everyone, it's me again. Just wanted to let you guys know that I read the kids all of the nice words about Don and the kids wanted to thank everyone for them. They knew Don was Soundtech and how he and I met on the computer and had a "happy ending" until his untimely passing. Things are better today and I know that only time heals and eventually we will all be better. Much love and thanks to everyone from me, Brittany, Taylor and Nicholas. ((((((everyone)))))) You guys have helped my kiddos' spirits and that means A LOT!!!!! Don would have appreciated it very much!!! |
