Most people have had compassion for this woman.  I call her an uber-bitch.... but DAMN she's funny!!!!

This local story made national news about 2 months ago.  I was actually going to post it at the time, but for whatever reason, decided not to.

The woman was arrested for refusing to return a football that landed in her yard, accidentally tossed over by a neighborhood kid.  The father of the kid claimed that the boy paid for the ball with his own earnings ($15) and that the landing was completely accidental.  After she refused to return the ball, the woman suggested he call the police, so he did after he realy tried to reason with her.  The police implored her to return the ball, but she still refused... so they arrested her.  The dad refused to file any charges.

You can read the original story here (very short)... its worth reading to get both sides of the story.

Now... there's more to the story.  The old bitty is suing the parents of the 11 year old boy claiming she has suffered emotional distress because of the footballs landing in her yard.  She STILL refuses to return the football, and it is now being saved for evidence.

Our local news station sat down with her and did a ridiculously long interview, and posted it on their website.  The interview is SO FREAKIN' FUNNY... they're interrupted constantly with calls from lawyers wanting to take on her case, concerned grandkids, the Associated Press, Washington, Cleveland... other media outlets.... almost nonstop during the interview.  Damn... I was cracking up!!!!

So if you have some patience... I highly suggest you watch this 18 minute interview.

The woman is a BITCH, a whack-job and at 89 years old, I don't care WHAT her ailments are, or whatever else her motivation is for continuing to be such a pain in the ass... I really hope she gets bitch slapped back by the law, the community, and the neighbors.

Every neighborhood's got one, I suppose.... but the bitch takes the cake.

Hasn't that family or other neighbors harassed her constantly before this happened?

WTF makes you think THAT?  There isn't anything that's been reported that suggests that..  Obviously you haven't watched the interview and obviously you didn't live next door to Ms. Jester.

I could never help my ball going into Miss. Bowman's yard when I was a kid, growing up on Timberlake Ave.  My own kids never deliberately landed a ball in Mrs. Freidel's yard next door (she is so much worse than her late husband)es.  These old bitch have nothing better to do.  Every neighborhood has one.

I have no idea what Granny Robber has to do with the old football-grabbing bitch.

I had more than one of these in my neighborhood when I was a kid. It's sad, really, that people get so old and crabby that they can't remember what it was like to be a kid.

Um...crazy old people in the news??

On Park Ave., we had the Singletons.  Rowena and Earl.  We had to walk out into the street to go to our friends house.  Couldn't even touch their driveway.

I thought in the days that followed the football story that another news item surfaced that there had been problems for years between these two families.

We had a big yard as a kid--we played all kinds of sports--football--baseball--ect.

and there was a fence .

it bordered this mean old German couples house.-the old man was mean as it got-and his wife was a female copy of the old man

for years we played --and for years when ever the ball got into their yard, if they saw it in time.. they’d scamper out and snatch it up--we lost baseballs --footballs--soccer balls--wiffle balls--basketballs--every ball known to man...we lost.

One day a bran new soccer ball went in their yard---and before i could jump the fence and make the mad dash to get it back--the old hussy did a snatch and grab from the basement door -and got my new soccer ball

(I was pissed cuz once they went in her evil den the balls were gone! )

but this time I had enough, so I went around and snuck into tier yard --and walked around the back to where she had appeared from--

I intended to confront the old hag-and if need be-kick her ass!

but low-the back door was open still---so i walked into their basement and there on the table was a horde of balls that would choke Jenna Jameson--

every ball they took sat on a large table in front of me!--upstairs I herd the old hag on the phone bragging and bitching about her collection downstairs *(and the brats she had taken them from)--lol

Well ,needless to say -i grabbed all our lost balls and creped out ....the treasure was mine!

we won--she lost---.

they would eyeball me hard (they knew one of us must have actually breached the confines of their home to retrieve the ball horde (i think it unnerved them a bit to think one of us (wild ones) had actually went into their house and done that--lol

never a word was spoken across the fence...

Eventfully the old ball grabbers died ---but after the retrieval of our balls,, they never nabbed another ball that went over the fence--(better to give the monsters back their play toy than to have them come calling--they must have figured.

After working in nursing homes for more than 12 years, I can verify that some old people are bitches/assholes, etc.  I've seen several who were just miserable and after spending a little time with them, they softened up and told me why they were so mean.  Some........are just bitches or assholes.  (I took great care of them all, though.)

I fail to see how anyone can call this lady a bitch.  Old people get very set in their ways.  I can imagine she could be worried and even frightened to see people on her property.  To assume it is always neighbors in her yard isn't something a person her age can be comforted by.  Aside from any health issues, she has a legal right to protect her personal property and space.  I doubt this is the only place these kids can be outside throwing around a ball or whatever.  Apparently she has spoken to them previously.  Not seeming to be concerned for her wishes the incidents continued.  To me, this is disreptful.   Or this kid is a very, very horrible at any sports skills.  I say  "stay the hell out of her yard"  and take the ball elsewhere.

A true lady would never divulge the number of balls she has held or played with.
