Hey everyone,
I do not know how many remember me, but I am Karen, aka magnoliablue. I am sad to pass on some bad news. Sheldon, aka Chewy passed away on New Year's Day after surgery for throat cancer. He was 41. There will be no services, as he did not want that. PLease remember him in your thoughts, as he was an incredible guy with a heart of gold and will be missed so very much.

Awwwwwwwwwww ((((((((((((Mags)))))))))... there is no way I could ever forget you. I wish you hadn't waited so long to post, especially since the news is so horrible. Where have you been? I LOVE hearing from you, but I HATE hearing from you under such horrible circumstances. I remember Chewy very well. He was rather obnoxious! He was also very very kind, had a great sense of humor and did his best to stay in touch for awhile.. he would pop into our chat room after being away for a long time and it was always as if he was never gone. I'm so so terribly sorry to hear this horrible news. My God.. 41 years old. I'm immediately reminded of Loriz and Soundtech.. I don't know if you remember them, but Soundtech just passed away less than two weeks before Christmas. He was only 45. Loriz' loss is a loss to us all. SoundTech was also a wonderful, wonderful man. I'm so so terribly sorry to hear about Chewy.. I think the name Sheldon came much later ( I remember it well) but to most, he was always Chewy. I remember that you guys hooked up.. I haven't heard from you in so long Mags... I never forgot you, or Chewy. I'm so sorry. Be sure, there are lots of people in here who will remember you both. Posting is down for the time being, and we're in the process of transferring our group to a new site.. so I'm so so happy you found us before we left. I'm just sickened that your return comes as a result as such a tragedy.... I'm so so sorry Mags.... so much sadness in Sidebar these last couple of weeks. Love, Fluff |

I am so sorry I waited until today to tell you. His mom and I talked tonight on the phone for quite a while, and agreed that since we met through this board, there were definitely people on here who might want to know of his passing.
I remember our times on here very fondly and if it weren't for classic rock, he would have never come into my life... I believe in serendipity and karma and he was a gift in my life that pointed my ship in the right direction.

Fluf,
If you could change the title of my post to Chewy, maybe that would help people realize who this is? I know Reisling and others knew his real name, so maybe they will remember without it, but it can't hurt.

Awwwwwwwww I wish I could, because you're right.. most people would recognize Chewy. MSN doesn't offer an "edit" function, so its impossible change... but I'll try something else anyway. |

((((Mag ))))) I dont know what to say,but that I am so sorry for your loss, I didnt know Chewy all that well but I do know what a good guy he was..he came back in the chatroom about a yr ago or so,it was really nice to see him. Becca thankyou for posting the picture of him RIP Sheldon ...and Mag we would love it if you kept in touch with us in the new group when we move Love Summer~ |

Hey Karen, Lori here. I lost my dear Don, aka SoundTech, whom I met almost 9 yrs ago in Classic Rock chat. He passed away on 12/12/08 at age 42 from a heart attack. He loved his computer and all of the friends that it brought with it. I am like you, I believe in Karma and am thankful that we had the almost 8 yrs together that we had. I am so very very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you! My email is [email protected] if you want to talk. Please take care of yourself.
