I'd like to encourage everyone to join our group in Aimoo as soon as possible. I realize the group might not be fully active for a couple more weeks but its easiest if you join now. I currently have the group available to the public, where everyone can view the group and everyone can post without membership. That will change very shortly and we will go private. Once we go private, you will have to go through the application process to get in to Sidebar. I don't want any of our current members to have to do that. I'm not advertising our group yet, so we won't be getting any newbies during this time... or at least its unlikely. Those who know the link and have it can get in while its easy. Some groups in MSN have already closed, or at least, malfunctioned to the point that they are gone. MSN is no longer doing any maintenance on groups and as you might have already experienced, we are frequently getting that "Hmmmm Can't Find That Page" screen... so I feel we're at high risk for losing Sidebar prematurely. I KNOW it will take some getting used to for a lot of you and I will work with you as much as I can. If you have ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL OR COMPLAINTS (such as Paul's problem with the screen width), I can probably help work it out. I promise, it will take a couple of days for you to get familiar with the functions, but we have every single option there that we have here, and much much more. Here is our group link once again... ALSO.. YOU WILL NEED TO BE A REGISTERED AIMOO USER (similar to MSN Passports) to access all the functions of Aimoo. |

The last time I looked in, I wasn't able to read any of the threads. I also cannot access the site from work. |

The board is fully accessible to the public for viewing and posting, even without requiring membership or sign up at the moment. Nobody else is having problems... Lodi made even made it in. |

I haven't had any troubles logging in, or registering or anything. The screen is a little wide (using IE 7 at work, 1024 x 768 screen res), but nothing terrible. I'll check at home later and see how it works out there. Are any other sites blocked at your work, AMad? |

Kris, with the new forum width reduction, its better for you? Is it STILL looking too wide at work? What size monitor are you using at work, and at home?? |

Fluff, it fits just fine now, both at home and at work. Thanks so much! AMad, when you log in, make sure it says to keep you logged in "forever" or at least for more than a few minutes... or check to see if cookies are enabled for the site. Not a lot you can do with blocking software like that... |

Maybe it's that I like using 800 X 600 resolution... always have. So, if most use the 1200 setting, and screen is good for them... keep it the same way. Also, I assume i'm all "accepted" and registered and all that good stuff ? |

You're in there Paul... go try it out! A couple of other people mentioned a problem with the wide screen. I'm happy to keep it at 992px (it was expanded to 1283px when you it). PLEASE let me know if there's anything I can help with at all over there. Its all trial and error. We'll get it going the way it should be soon. I've made a lot of changes and additions in the last couple of days. I just need everybody's patience a bit longer. |
