Bowtie Dinner
- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 Tblsp oil
- 8 oz green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 onion, chopped, about 1/2 c
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 can (14.5 oz) Italian seasoned diced tomatoes
- 1 pkg (8oz) shredded Cheddar cheese, 2 c, divided
- 2 Tblsp tomato paste
Directions:
Cook pasta according to pkg directions; drain.
Position rack 4 inch from heat source; preheat broiler.
Heat skillet over medium high heat. Add beef; cook stirring occasionally until no pink remains, about 4 mins. Drain; discard liquid; set aside.
In same skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Add green beans, onion, garlic, salt, oregano and pepper. Cook until veggies soften, about 5 mins.
Stir in tomatoes, 1 c cheese, tomato paste and reserved beef and pasta. Heat through, 1 min. Remove from heat; sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Broil until cheese melts and browns slightly, about 2 mins.
