BBQ Rub
1 cup paprika
1/2 cup chili powder
1/2 cup cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoon thyme
2 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning (optional)
1 tablesppon seasoning salt. (optional)
Instructions:Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
Reserve until needed.
Makes About 3 Cups.
I also have made this for different meants by adding additional or substituting an ingredient. For chicken I like to add some chicken seasoning, about 2 tablespoon and one teaspoons of ground sage. To use with hamburgers or hamburger dishes if you can find it I like to add hamburger seasoning. Turning it more into a Mexican rub I add dry taco seasoning, and for Cajun I add cajun seasoning. When I do this I also limit the seasoning salt.
