Quick & Easy Lasagna
1 box lasagna Noodles
2 to 3 jars favorite spaghetti sauce (this is according to taste and
how
much sauce that you like)
1 large jar sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 1/2 pounds Italian Sausage
2 medium onions chopped
1 green pepper chopped
2 teaspoons minced garlic
Seasonings ( to Taste )
      Oregano
      Basil
      Thyme
      Chives
      Marjoram
      Rosemary
      Parsley
Cheeses
     Ricotta
     Feta
     Cottage cheese
     Mozarella (sliced & Shredded)
     Provoloni
Brown ground beef, Italian Sausage, green peppers, onions, &
garlic.
Drain.
In large bowl place two jars of sauce. Add spices, mushrooms & meat
mixture. Stir.
In a lasagna or long baking pan  por some of the third jar of
dressing to
cover. Use about half. Place a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles. Spoon
over
sauce/meat mixture. dot with dollops of ricotta, feta, & cottage
cheese.
Place row of sliced mozzarella cheese over top of sauce. Repeat process
with
noodles, sauce & cheeses, except top with slices of provalone cheese
instead
of Mozzarella. Place row of lasagna noodles and top with remaining
sauce
from jar. Place in 375 degree oven and cook approxmately 45 mins.
Remove top
with shredded Mozzarella cheese. Return to oven until cheese is
slightly
melted.

   VARIATIONS

American Lasagna
  Omit Ricotta & feta cheese.
Change provoloni & mozzarella cheeses to colby, munster and american
cheese.

Pizza Lasagna
  Omit hamberger & cottage cheese.
  Add pepperoni
Use either equal amount of pizza & spagehetti sauce or pizza sauce
only,

Mexican Lasagna
Use regular sausage instead of Itialian Sausage.
Omit all spices from regular lasagna except basil & garlic powder.
Add
following spices
Chile powder
Red pepper Flakes
Cummadin
Add a 1 can of drained corn  & 2 cans of chile beans tomeat mixture. Or
instead of Chile beans add a small bottle of taco sause to cans of
refried
beans to make a spreading comsistancy.

If you use refried beans. Spread layer on each layer of noodles.

Omit Ricotta cheese.
Use Montery jack cheese & american chhese. Can also use taco cheese.

Instead of spagehetti sauce use a mild salsa mixed in tomato sauce.

Seafood Lasagna
combine favorite, unbreaded seafood in a bowl. I like to use crab,
shrimp,
pieces of blue hake or cod. Can add any tothers that you like.
Instead of spahetti suace use alfredo sauce.

These are recipes I created after reading a recipe somewhere that told to use uncooked lasagna. I loved that idea as I hated to precook lasagna and so seldom made it until I came across that recipe.

People love this lasagna. A friends daughter who got to chose where she wanted to go for her birthday party said to my house  for my lasagna. So her  Mom & Dad bought  the ingredients and I ended up making the lasagna for 4 of their  five daugters.

This is a easy dish to make  although my version is not  that  cheap. However like many of  recipes this recipe is flexible where you can take away or add your  own ingredients and spices.

One of the tricks to make this lasagna edible since you are using uncooked lasagna is to be sure not  to skimp on the sauce. I usually buy two large jars of sauce to use as well as the spaghettie sauce. I start with puring a layer of sauce in the  bottom of the pan and when I put  the last layer on top also pour the extra sauce over that. THe  extra sauce is  absorbed by the lasagna, but  because you  use it, it does  keep the lasagna  from being too dry.

Since posting this recipe one thing I have done with Pizza Lasagna is  to use Itialian sausage as well as  pepporoni.

Many variations  of  meats, cheese, & spices, can  be used to make this dish.

Combine your favorites and turn this dish into you own, then come back here and tell us about it!
