Fruit Casserole
1 15-oz can applesauce 1 15-oz can apricot halves, drained 1 15-oz can pear halves, drained 1 15-oz can sliced peaches, drained 1 15-oz can white cherries, drained and pitted 1 15-oz can pineapple chunks, drained 1/2 cup brown sugar Cinnamon to taste Freshly grated nutmeg to taste 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, pecans, or nuts of your choice
Layer the fruits in a lightly greased 3-quart baking dish, sprinkling each layer with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Top with the chopped nuts and bake in a preheated 300F oven until heated through, 20 to 30 minutes.
Serves 8 to 12.
