STUFFFED TURKEY BURGER
(Serves 4)
I N G R E D I E N T S
1 lb ground turkey
1/4 cup quick rolled oats
1 egg
1/2 tsp garlic powder
dash pepper
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup dill pickle relish
2 Tbs catsup
2 tsp prepared mustard
2 slices cheddar or American cheese, cut into strips
D I R E C T I O N S
Preheat grill for direct-heat grilling. Combine turkey, oats, egg, garlic powder, and pepper in a medium bowl. Divide mixture in half, and shape each piece into a 6-inch diameter circle. Sprinkle onions and relish over one circle, leaving a 1/2 inch border. Top with catsup and mustard. Arrange cheese strips spoke fashion over the catsup and mustard. Carefully place remaining ground turkey circle over the cheese and press the edges together to seal. Grill stuffed burger about 8 minutes per side or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees F is reached. To serve, cut the burger into fourths. Serve with lettuce and tomato slices if desired.
