Pan-fried beef with garlic sprouts in black bean sauce
Ingredients:
6 oz. frank steak, sliced against vein, marinate with 1 tsp of sugar, corn starch, sesame oil, soya sauce and cold water. 10 oz. garlic sprouts, cut off one inch from each end, then cut into 2�?lengths ½ carrot, cut into 2�?length thin sticks 1 pc garlic, smashed 1 Tbsp dried black bean, rinsed 1/2 tsp sugar, salt. 1 tsp corn starch 1 Tbsp cold water 2 Tbsp vegetable oil ¼ cup cold water Directions:
Put garlic and black bean into small bowl, grind them together, add in ½ tsp each of sugar, soya sauce and sesame oil.
Heat wok on high, pour in 1 Tbsp oil, put in garlic and black bean, brown for 1 minute…add in garlic sprouts, mix well, stir-fry for 30 seconds.
Add in carrot, stir well, pour in 1/8 cup cold water, let it simmer.
Heat pan on high, pour in 1 Tbsp oil. Put in beef, slightly even them out, DO NOT STIR.
Brown one side first, then turn to cook the other side. Add beef onto garlic sprouts. Mix one teaspoon corn starch and one Tablespoon of cold water together, slowly pour into the wok.
Mix well and serve.
