Apple, Pear & Cranberry Pie
1 refridgerated pie crust, softened as directed on box
Filling;
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
3 cups thinly sliced, peeled tart apples
3 cups thinly sliced, peeled ripe pears
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
Topping;
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup cold butter
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Heat oven to 400~. Place pie crust in a 9-inch glass pie plate as
directed on pkg.
In a large bowl, mix sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, & nutmeg. Gently
stir in apples pears, & dried cranberries. Pour filling into crust-
lined pie plate.
In a small bowl, mix topping ingredients until crumbly; sprinkle
over filling.
Line a 15x10-inch pan with foil; place on oven rack below the rack
where pie will be baked on to catch drippings. Loosely cover pie with
foil; bake 1 hour. Uncover; bake 10 minutes more or till apples are
tender & topping is golden brown.
