Just a few words for the "team". Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to cut all sources of retreat, only by doing so can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a burning desire to win. ESSENTIAL TO SUCCESS! I will not be frowned upon or be looked down upon or be made to keep silent because I have these beliefs and opinions. I thought this county allowed me that right. |

Did each one of them get their own cigarette after they screwed us or did they share the same cigarette? |

From what I've been hearing thru my trusty grapevine, the COT's and Nettech's in our area are livid about this contract and plan on voting NO. They're concerned about all the folks in the call centers who have little or no seniority and no real expectations of retiring from this company. Their increase in insurance and co-pays doesn't really bother them because they're young and invincible at this age. Going out on strike for two months with no income, now that might make them vote yes because they don't see anything but the immediate impact. This was an observation and an assumption, and we all know what happens when we assume. It's another reason that senior employees and retirees have got to show up at the explanation meetings, asking all the long term questions and relating their stories of how this is going to just kill their monthly incomes and budgets (retirees). If it can happen to us, it will happen to you. Even wage scale 1 folks are losing money on this deal. $25 a week after taxes for an increase. $75 a month now for insurance for your family, increased co-pays at the docs and drug stores, coinsurance at the hospital and other facilities. Let's talk about the decrease in pay when you're seriously hurt or ill. Just how are you suppose to make ends meet then? Stress curtails the healing process. What about the concession on our phones? Every little ding adds up to this huge dent, almost totaling some families' economic futures. Those who thought they might be able to afford retirement now know it's not possible. If they have any health crisis in their family, they need to stay working in order to pay for their care. This is not a good contract on so many levels. NO is the only 'centsible' vote. |

Hey PNB- just an update.. not everyone on the inside is young with no loyalty. There are still alot of people who would have retired and now can't, are paying for kids in school, and even scale 4 folks lose money- heck everyone loses money. As for how the inside is planning on voting.. we need to not press the inside is worried about the outside, and the outside is worried about the inside, We need to be worried about all of us and as far as I can tell all sides, in and out, no matter the state, are planning a NO vote! Having said all that... see you Friday night. |

Uh, the Boeing contract also had considerable concessions in their medical, with higher cost of co-pays and deductibles....................they did the math. And, that pay raise ended up in the negative...............Just LIKE our tenative agreement. ========VOTE NO=========== |
