Good morning everyone,

We has and AWESOME and MERCIFULY WONDERFUL GOD. Thank you sooooooo much for your prayers. I know there were hundreds of people praying for this and for me. Here is what happened.

As planned on Wednesday I brought the packet of information to the Human Resources Department at Raytheon. The one person I thought would help me had no time and sent me to the secretary of someone else. This young lady was very nice but did not have a clue about what I was talking about. She said she would give it this man Steve who would look it over and call me.  Before leaving work I called that man and left him a voice mail asking that he let me know his decission ASAP. The next day he did call and say that he had forwarded the packet on to a man, Scot the HR Director of Operations, and I would hear from him. The rest of that day passed hearing nothing. I was able to find out who Scot is and his phone number. All I could do was pray and I went to other at work who are Christians and ask them to do the same.  My prayer was that someone would touch these papers who knew the Lord. The man, Scot, is a very high official two steps under the CEO of Raytheon so God was definately moving the packet in a dirction of decision makers.

Friday morning, 7:30 am, I called Scot Landies office hoping to leave a voice mail, since the people on "Mahogany Row" done start work till at least 8 am.
Yes, I hate to make phone calls to people I don't know this was the chicken's way out. Well, to my surprise the phone was answered by his secretary Kathy.
I told her my name, prepared to explain the entire project again but she said, "Hi, I know the name, you have the packet about the National Day of Prayer. I am so glad you are doing this! I am a born agian Christian and think it is wonderful. The decision on your packet has been made already and you will be getting a call from Scot today." All the time she was talking I was silently saying "THank you Jesus, over and over" He had answered my prayers in a BIG way. But I still did not know the answer, YES or NO. I asked Kathy if she could give me a hint on which way the answer would lean. She said that she was able to share all about the National Day of Prayer with him and he thought it was a great idea. I had been approved, but he had to tell me. He would be in at 8:30 and I could come up to the Executive Offices anytime  after that to pick up the packet. When I got there he was not availabel but I spoke a lot to Kathy sharing my vision for the event and she said she was from Haverhill and is involved with the NDP event there I stood in awe ad I shared how Amesbury would not be having an event this year but our church, Market Street Baptist, would be attending events in Haverhill Stadium.

God has everything all worked out ahead of time and all we have to do is be willing to do even the smallest of things for Him. That 'still small voice' that I heard deep in my soul, prompting me to have an event in a place that I could not imagine having one, moved mountains. When I think of the just the people who touched that packet of information and the conversations it may have started it is amazing. There are some wonderful godly people coming forward to orgainze the event, Dick Bailey is one of them, and I cannot even imagine what the end result of this event will be or how many people will here about the Christian foundation of our country, our forefather, and will pray for God' guidance in our lives. For the first time there is a NDP - Raytheon event listed under Massachusetts events on the website for the National Day of Prayer. www.nationaldayofprayer.org

Stay tuned for the .... rest of the story... and if you hear that 'still small voice' moving you to do something for the NDP or to do anything for Jesus, don't be afraid. God has all the details worked out ahead of time.

Keep praying my wonderful friends and God bless you all,
Karen
