The Warrior's Return

You walked out of our circle
Through a hole that was cut
Sealed was the exit
The gateway was shut

For a time you would travel
Gathering up seeds
Everyone does this
To fulfill all their needs

We see you again
On our future's front door
We see that you've flourished
Have you got past your war

Did you slay all the shadows
That took you away
Come closer, dear blessed one
Let us hear what you say

Our circle's unbroken
Since last we met
Our love's been here always
We know you didn't forget

The paths of our rivers
Have always met by the sea
Tell us honestly, sweet one
Did you ever feel free

Did you miss all the magik
That once took us and turned
On that  trail of tears
Where our spirits all burned

Do you have any more wisdom
That you might share
Will you now sit by our campfires
With your kindred who care

We've all gone out
And come back on the wheel
Its continuous motion
In confusion can steal

But one from our heart
Can not walk alone
We all walk together
Through realities unknown

Welcome back to the songs
That are sung by the tribe
Of man through the Goddess
Whose laws we abide

Glory is given
To the Lord of the sun

The wisdom you've won

Our circle is dancing
Rejoicing your safe return
The gateway is opened
Through our whole we shall learn

After a brief time
Another will leave
Returning again always
To what they believe

Renegade warrior
