| Peter began to gaze at the gate once more. He could see it from out of the window. It had been raining for what seemed ages. He hadnt been able to play out. When was it going to stop he thought and glanced once more at the gate. He remembered his adventure with Lucy and wondered if they would meet again. I wish it would stop raining and then I could go and play out. His mum wouldnt let him play out in the rain.It was his fault he always jumped in the puddles and always got soaking wet. He went and had lunch then came back to the window and as he looked the sky began to clear and the sun began to shine. The dark clouds had gone and there was blue sky. Everything began to dry and with excitement he ran to his mum saying could he please go out to play. As long as he stayed in the yard it was ok his Mum said, but he wasn't thinking about staying in the yard. He rode round on his bycycle and his mind wandered to the gate. He stopped opened the gate stepped outside and ( BANG ) The gate shut behind him. This time he didn't cry, Once more he grew and could reach the handle to open it. Click went the handle and as he stepped through. He was on the platform once more he looked round so excited and even more to his surprise Lucy came behind him. They hugged each other and stood and watched as the book appeared turned round and laid flat and opened at a page. This time they went in together. A voice said " Welcome Come step into the book Come " Neither of them waited for him to finish they stepped and found themselves in a beautiful garden. It was the garden they were in before.It was the one they watched being made. It smelt so fresh everything was there. The sun was shining bright and the rays danced as the branches of the trees moved. They ran round in excitement looking at all that they had seen made. It was perfect it was beautiful. Oh what fun they had exploring. The animals ran round them playing and jumping about. They chased around and played with them. They laughed and ran and played, so happy to be back in the book. Everything was just as it had been made the flowers the colours the animals trees and plants. It was so nice to sit on the grass under the tree watching the fish jump in the river and listening to the sound as it ran over the rocks It was a lovely garden not like the yard at home where weeds grew and tarmac and flags were laid. They ran across the grass being careful not to step on the flowers and plants. "Look said Peter man was there too just like before (called Adam)" He was in the garden looking after it.There was that thunder again it was a voice. This voice said Adam you can eat the fruit of any tree in the garden, but the one of good and evil you shall not if you eat that you will die. All the animals were brought and named "Lucy "said Peter "hes getting them all right. The same names our animals have Lions and tigers squirrels chipmunks rabbits hes getting them all right." Lucy and Peter joined in and called out the names as he did. It was such fun. They shouted out all the ones they could remember. Trying to guess the ones they didnt know.Some they didnt get right but Adam did. I wonder how many you can remember. You can play a game and write down as many as you can and see who gets the most and maybe draw a picture of one of them one you like best. Adam finished them all as they were brought to him, but he was still very lonely.As Lucy and Peter watched Adam slept and a bone was taken from Adam and a woman was made just like Lucy and was called woman ( Eve ).They were put together the man and the woman to look after each other and to take care of the garden. As peter and Lucy watched A serpent came into the garden as Eve was walking and as she came to the tree they were not to eat of he made the tree look so tasty and such wonderful fruit that woman took some and ate it. Lucy said "she shouldnt have done that Oh look shes giving Adam some and hes eating it too." Look they are covering themselves in leaves and hiding" said Lucy. "I Wonder who they hiding from." It was evening and the most beautiful person they had ever seen came walking into the garden. All the animals greeted him and ran to him. Lucy and Peter loved him the momment they saw him. They watched him as he walked in the garden. He was the one who made the garden and everything in it with so much love. You couldnt help loving him. He was looking for Adam and Eve. He shouted where are you, but they hid from him. They were frightened for they had done wrong. "Shall we tell him where they are .They had not done as he said" said Lucy. Lucy and Peter knew how they felt.They felt the same when they did wrong. He looked so sad tears were in his eyes. He loved them so much, but they had done wrong. They argued whose fault it was and blamed each other. We do that sometimes dont we. Adam said the woman had given the fruit of the tree to him and he ate of it and the woman said " We were not to touch it or eat it, but the serpent cheated me and told me it was good to eat so I ate it." Peter and Lucy watched as the serpent was made to crawl on it's belly. The man and woman were clothed in animal skins and put out of the garden and a cherubim and a flaming sword gaurded the garden and the trees. . To make sure noone ate of them or others. Lucy and Peter followed them out of the garden. Just like Adam and eve they would have rather stopped in the garden, but they couldn't They had to till the soil and grow their own plants.It was hard not like being in the garden. The weeds came up with the plants and some of them didnt grow at all. Adam and Eve had two sons after they left the garden. Wonder if you can guess what their names were. Have you guessed Yet Yes they were called Cain and Abel . Peter said "look Abel looks after the sheep he's a shepherd. Lets follow him as he takes them into the pasture." They passed Cain he looked after the soil and grew things. "Each one does a different thing" said Lucy. As Lucy and Peter watched both of them brought an offering, But Abel's offering was better than Cains he was giving the best he had, But Cain didnt bring the best fruit. Lucy said "when we offer a gift to someone we should give the best we have." and Peter agreed.Cain was angry because Abels gift was better than his. Peter and Lucy watched as he took Abel out into the field and he killed him. "Where is your brother" a voice said." I dont know "said Cain "Ime not with him all the time". Lucy looked at Peter they both knew where he was."What have you done said the voice.You have killed him. When you plant your crops they will not grow anymore". Cain was so sad he said "I will be be a wanderer and if anyone finds me they will kill me", but a mark was put on him, so that noone would kill him. He went away to the land called Nod. Peter and Lucy followed him. Cain found a wife and had a son called Enoch. Adam had another son too and called him Seth in place of Abel who Cain had killed. they began to follow God again and call on his name. They all lived and had children. Then Noah was born But thats another story. Peter and Lucy stayed in the book and wondered what there next adventure would be, Can you guess what it was.
