Everything in the world became bad. People began to be greedy and fight. They didnt love God . Noah was a peaceful man, He loved God.
Peter and Lucy didn't like this place everyone fighting and hurting each other it was bad and so scary, but Noah was different. Peter and Lucy liked him he was so loving so good so kind and considerate he loved God.
Peter and Lucy liked Noah's sons as well Shem, Ham and Japeth they had wives too and they were good.I heard Peter say they were cool, but everyone else wasn't nice at all. wow Peter jumped back and Lucy jumped too and fell right on top of Peter. Peter shoved her off . It was that voice again.The one they had heard before.
"Noah I am going to destroy the earth and the people in it, I am going to send a flood. I want you to build a boat an Ark big enough for you and your family and two of each animal crawling things and birds that fly. and food for you all. I will tell you how to make it".Peter and Lucy looked at each other it was the middle of the dessert and it never hardly rained, but the voice said it and he always did what he said.
"Look when we watched him make all this" said Peter and they both wondered if Noah would build it.
Noah always listened and always did what God asked. So with his family and God's help Noah set about the task. What a big ark it had to be. Lucy and Peter watched as the first floor went in then the second then the third it was like a sky scraper, but without the windows. "Lucy" Peter said "they are all laughing at them but Noah is still building don't they know when God says something he means it" hahahaha they heard,
building a boat in the middle of the desert. hahaha you expecting rain. I don't think so it never rains here. Noah told them what God was going to do but noone listened. Noah built the ark.
When he had finished he made a roof for it and a door in the side.
It was three floors high. He made it waterproof on the outside.
The voice said "bring the animals in twos and put them and enough food for all and place them in the ark.
Then you and all your family go into the ark for you shall be safe because you do all I ask."
So the animals, crawlies and birds, all the food and Noah and his Family went into the ark Then door was shut tight.
Lucy and Peter followed them in.
The floods began
Lucy and Peter began to explore what fun. What a big boat they were in. It had everything. Stalls for the cattle places for the birds to sit pens with two in each, A place for all that was inside.Food to last a very long time. Peter and Lucy wondered how long they would be in the boat, but it didn't matter for it was the beginning of a wonderful adventure. Noah and his three sons kept the animals fed and clean.
The boat began to float gently on the water. Days and days went by Lucy and Peter counted them 40 days it was 40. Peter marked them off. He was clever he could count up to 40. Lucy could too but she left Peter to count. All the mountains were covered. More than 20 feet it rose too. Everything living thing on the earth was destroyed. The only ones left were Noah and his family and the animals that were in the ark. Peter and Lucy were so glad to be in there safe from the rising floods. A wind went over the earth and the rain stopped and the ark came to rest on a mountain. Lucy found out it was called Ararat.
Peter and Lucy watched Noah after 40 days open a window in the ark. He sent out a raven. I wonder why he is doing that said Peter. It kept flying backwards and forwards. "Thats the reason" said Lucy "It has nowhere to land, so it keeps coming back.
Then Noah sent a dove, both Peter and Lucy wondered if it would come back, Yes! your right it came back. It had nowhere to land. Noah brought it back into the ark and he waited seven more days and sent it out again
It came back again. When was the water going to go.They had been in the Ark a long time, well it seemed a long time. This time the dove had brought with it an olive branch. It carried it in it's beak. Then they waited another seven days.
Peter and Lucy wanted to get onto dry land. It had been a good adventure on the ark exporing seeing all the animals. They had explored and explored, but wanted to get off the ark.
Noah sent the dove out again and yippee it didn't come back. They heard the voice again it said "come out of the ark, Bring out the animals and every creature".
So out they all came Peter and Lucy right behind them.
As they watched Noah built an altar. And the voice said
"Never again will I destroy all living creatures as I have done".
When the voice promised he set a rainbow in the sky, So that everytime he and we see a rainbow He remembers and we remember his promise.
Can you draw a rainbow with all the colours. Peter and Lucy drew one. Then you can remember the promise
Noah had three sons called Shem Ham and Japeth
they had many children and the had children and once more there were nations on the earth
But thats another story
