Jumping in the book was easy now they didnt wait even for the voice to say welcome. In they both jumped. They wouldn't be with Abraham and Sarah any more, so they wondered where they would be.The not knowing was exciting and what a surprise they had they were with Isaac and Rebekah.How happy they were they had been there when the servant brought Rebekah to Isaac and now they were married and going to have twins.
The twins Tussled and fought before they were even born.They were twins, but each one was different. The first was red and hairy and they called him Esau.The second Followed him Straight behind holding onto his heel, He was called Jacob.
As they grew up Esau became a great hunter. He was Peter's Favourite and his Father's too. "How strong and brave he is" Said Peter who followed him everywhere. Jacob wasn't strong according to Peter, He was quiet Kind and gentle and helped around the camp. He was good at cooking. He was his Mother's Favourite. Lucy stayed with him she liked him very much. She said "Peter will say he's a boy, but when you are good and kind it doesn't mean your not strong". "You care for people and are willing to help". "Jacob is strong in his own way". "Anyway Peter doesn't know anything".
Lucy was with Jacob when Esau came in from hunting. Esau could smell the wonderful stew that Jacob had made.It was like Ice cream to him and he would give anything just to have a bowl full he was so hungry and the smell, he could almost taste it. "Give me some of your stew" he said to jacob. "I will if you give me your rights as the eldest son".Esau was that hungry and the smell of the stew was too much that he had to have some, so he gave it all to Jacob.
Jacob gave him the stew and some bread. When he had eaten he left.
There was a famine in the land so once more the tents were taken down and everything packed. "Don't go to Egypt they were told". Lucy said. They were going to another place with a silly name. Lucy could just remember it it was gerar. They did so well there that the people were jealous blocked up the wells and told them to leave. Everytime they stopped and dug a well someone said it was theirs and they had to move again. until they were in a valley and the well they dug was theirs and they stayed. Peter and Lucy loved it when they put the tents up and stayed, no more walking.
Jacob and Esau's Father was getting old and was unable to see very well.He called for Esau and said "go hunting and make me some stew come into me and I will bless you". All Father's blessed the eldest son before they died. So off Esau went with Peter right behind, Lucy went looking for Jacob but as she found him she heard his mother talking to him. "Go get me two goats" she said "I will cook a Stew and you go into your Father and he will bless you instead of Esau". Jacob argued with his mother, but did as she asked took the stew and went into his Father. He put the skins on his arms so his Father would think he was Esau. It worked and his Father blessed him, Back came Esau made the stew, but it was too late. He yelled in anger when he found out what Jacob had done, and went after him to kill him.
No wonder he was angry Jacob had cheated him out of everything.He couldn't find Jacob. His Mother had packed his things and sent him to his Uncle Laban's house where he would be safe till Esau quietened down
On the way Jacob had a dream
