"Yippee!" "We wont have to travel for a while We can stay here in Haran with Laban's Family. Jacob's in love and wants to get married,"said Lucy. Peter was glad they were staying, but being a boy didnt think much of Weddings. You had to get dressed in suits and go to church and it was so boring.He would rather do boys stough, Lucy was excited though. Jacob asked Laban if he could marry Rachel and Laban said "you stay and work for me for seven years and you can marry Rachel". Jacob said the seven years would go very quick for he was in love with Rachel.Lucy was happy to stay and not to be travelling, and was, so excited about the wedding. It was such fun helping Jacob to look after the sheep and being with Laban's Family.Peter loved it too very much The seven years went very quick though
Laban made a grand feast and gathered all the people together ready for the marriage of his daughter Rachel to Jacob. What feast there was singing and dancing and music. Lots of food to eat. Peter and Lucy did enjoy it very much. It was like a giant birthday party, but it was noones birthday. They danced together and ate till they couldnt eat anymore, but in the morning they had a big surprise.! "It's Leah not Rachel" said Lucy "Laban has tricked Jacob. Hes married Leah, but he asked to marry Rachel." I heard Laban talking to Jacob and he said Leah had to be married first thats how they did it in this part of the country, but he could have told Jacob in stead of tricking him thats not right". said Peter, " We get to stay longer" Lucy said and they will be having another feast Jacob said he loves Rachel and wants to marry her too.We get to stay and Jacob is going to marry Rachel . He loves Rachel more than he does Leah and Leah is so sad" said Lucy.
Leah had lots of children but Rachel didnt have any," maybe he will love me now because of the children,"said Leah but he didn't

"Rachel has had none yet" said Lucy, but Peter being a boy wasnt interested. He didnt like babies like Lucy did.He helped with the flocks, he was a boy.
Rachel did have a little boy later He was called Joseph and he was Jacob's favourite. Jacob had stayed with Laban a very long time and after Joseph was born Jacob asked Laban to let him go home, but Laban asked him to work a bit longer.Jacob said he would and Laban said what would you like me to give you for your wages."Wow Peter" said Lucy "Jacob asked for nothing" But he said "Let me look at the flock and take out the speckled ones, spotted ones and dark ones both sheep and goats and I will put them on one side for my family and they will be mine.Laban agreed so Jacob has gone looking at the flock".Peter ran to find him he liked helping Jacob with the flock.He felt so brave helping to protect them and going with Jacob to the best pasture.Jacob said that Laban could look at the ones he had put on one side for his family and if he found any not dark speckled or Spotted then he could say he had stolen them. Laban liked that, Jacob moved away from Labans, but he still looked after his flock.Jacob's flocks grew to many and they were strong. He kept them away from Labans flocks.Laban.s sons looked at the weak flocks that were left and were so angry and told their Father that Jacob was taking all their flocks. Jacob took his family and his flocks and ran away and didnt tell Laban he was going and set off for home. When Laban found out he had gone he went after him to harm him. That night he had a dream and God said "Dont harm him or hurt him". Lucy and Peter were so glad he didnt. Jacob placed a stone as a pillar a promise between them.Jacob promised to look after his daughters and keep them safe and Laban promised he wouldn't harm him and they stayed the night there. In the morning Laban kissed his daughters and his grandchildren and then he went back home.And Lucy and Peter once more found themselves travelling.
