Mrs. P's Haven of Refuge This is my personal Christmas message At this Christmas time, we receive so many pages of good cheer, stories, and many beautiful graphics. That is okay, but that is not what Christmas should be all about. I was struggling and thinking, what shall my message be this year? Then I came across a poem in one of my folders. Right then the Holy Spirit, spoke to me and gave me the guidance in what I should write. These words are coming straight from my heart. I receive so many emails, stating that there are so many families that are having problems in their relationships with their loved ones, and they want me to pray for them. Which I do pray for them. Read: Matt 6:9-15 (KJV) After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Luke 11:2-4 (KJV) And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. It is not just going to church, and maybe even being very active in the church, that makes us Chistians. It is obeying the Word of God, and putting into practice everyday, starting in our homes, with our loved ones. I am reminded of how many times, while doing my household chores, I would find myself singing: Lord, prepare me to be a Sanctuary, tried and Holy, tried and pure... With thanksgiving, I'll be a Living ... Sanctuary for You. Tears would be rolling down from my eyes, and I can truthfully say, "That chorus made a great difference in my life." We must realize that we should not sing a song, and then not put it into practice..... We do not know what the New Year will bring to many of us. There are many who have lost loved ones, and never had the time to say, "I'm sorry". We may be the ones that God will choose to call home this next year. What testimony are we leaving our loved ones and friends? I must say, that I have always said, "The only thing I want my husband, children and grandchildren, to say about me is, "That I was a Godly woman". It doesn't matter how much, money or gifts that we give to them, but it is the Love of God, and the gift of Salvation, that we have shown through our lives that counts. Please take this message in Love. Let us search our hearts, and if there is some mending to do, please do it, before it is too late.... I want to wish you all a Blessed Christmas, and want to thank everyone who has been faithful in praying for me and this Ministry. I pray that God will continue to use me, and guide me through the Holy Spirit, to continue to be able to come into your homes, with words of comfort, encouragement, and that God will meet all your Prayer Requests. Love, Mrs.P "My Christmas Wish" This Christmas wish is all from me - By: Wendy Rene?Henry-Roberts To have hearts like they could be. A loving family all filled up with cheer -not a hateful family filled up with tears. We have grown together a long time you see and that's the way that it should be We can't bring back the past and change mistakes But only live on and cure all of our hates. It is told to me that we are stuck with each other That is because of our Father and Mother. Being together in this very special way Is the only thing that I ask for on my Christmas day. To let my family know that presents don't matter. The only thing I want is to hear their chatter. To set our feelings aside and not be torn Is a tradition that must go on. Instead of exchanging a gift, if only our hearts we would lift, To know that we matter each day of our lives. That we are a family that has survived. So, my wish - to always be together No matter what storms we may all weather. To make this Christmas the most special of them all By being together and having a ball.
